Thank you, all is well now. I was in a bipolar downward drifting phase. I'm back out of it with the use of strategies I've learned through the past few years. Thank you for asking, and have a super weekend! Also, I returned to my whole plant food based diet (with the addition of eggs). It's how I ate before Covid. I only slid away from it after four months of the stress of going to work before the vaccine came out. This past Winter, I attempted keto because it is supposed to lead to mitochondrial repair and an improvement - real healing, apparently - for bipolar. Anyway, over the course of the past week, my daily resting heart rate went down 5 points, the % of time my heart rate goes below resting heart rate at night went from 0% to 90%. I'm above 5.5 hrs of sleep/night, now, almost 6. Still not enough, but it's the right trend. Off to the gym. Then the park with my dog. Sofia likes to wander a while, then throw herself on her back in a patch of clover. She spends 10-15 minutes, like that, just watching people and other dogs pass by on the sidewalk 10 feet away. Have a great weekend!5 points

I did a summer Vaca. in Az in mid-July years ago for 2 weeks with the wife & kid. Yeah; it was HOT but like you said, a dry heat so to me not nearly as bad as say Fla in July with soul-sucking humidity. The one thing I remember though was the pool at a hotel we stayed at in Lake Havasu was as hot as the air so it was virtually pointless going for a swim We had a blast though. Grand Canyon, Lake Havasu, Yuma, 4 days at a dude ranch in Tucson (my ass still hurts from that one ), Parker Az then ended in Laughlin before flying back from Vegas. That was one of those trips your remember forever! Had a ton of fun!!2 points

Waterfalls, sprays, aerators anything that the water flys through the air cools it. But when it is this hot, even leaving them running all night only helps a little.1 point

What an important story, @Kate18! The message of “all are welcome here” definitely hits home. For so long my ambivalence about quitting was a huge obstacle, like my quit was not “legit” if I had so many doubts. But you and all the other good people here helped me understand that mixed feelings were part of the process, part of addiction, and that I could succeed at quitting anyway. Being accepted and supported was crucial. Much gratitude!!1 point
