Looking for news about Hank the Tank.

 

If you don't already know, Hank the Tank is a black bear that lives near Lake Tahoe, California.  He found himself in a bit of trouble when it was believed that he was breaking into homes to steal food.  The last I heard, Hank had been cleared in some of the break-ins as it was found that some of the bears breaking and entering were females.  Hank took the rap because he's a fat boy and likes to eat.

 

I know there are a lot of other news stories out there right now, but I wish someone would do a follow-up on Hank.

 

Godspeed Hank the Tank, wherever you may be.

PS. @Boo, you'll be happy to know that thanks to DNA showing Hank the tank wasn't the only bear breaking into houses he won't be euthanized and instead will be trapped, tagged and relocated 😊

I think Hank the Tank lives at my house.  If it is not him, I have a dog named bear that looks the same. Have you been to Lake Tahoe @Boo one of the most beautiful places.  Went in the winter so the Hub could ski, I spent most of that time on the snow on my ass. Our goal was to retire there, alas we did not make it, he passed.  It still holds a special place in my heart..  New goal is to have our son spread out ashes there. I think we can get that done.

 

@catloverMay I please have your home address, I think I should be there to help you hold and kiss those boys.  I am available when there are babies involved.  
For anyone else out there I am also available when there are puppies involved.

I never made it up to Tahoe.  Took a couple of trips out to Kernville back in the nineties; nice town.  Had plans on venturing out and seeing more of the area, but if the river was up we just stayed and ran whitewater all day.

Baking almond gluten free cookies as party of baby sisters birthday pressie. Already made berry protein balls and chocolate crackle protein balls, once the biscuits are done it will be sugarfree choc chip clouds.... then I have to drive 2 hours from one side of Melbs to the other to meet her for dinner at all you can eat Japanese....worth it to get to nurse her gorgie bubba.

Um... to clarify...down under when we nurse a baby it means we hold them and give them a cuddle...wot you yanky doodles call nursing we call feeding... other wise my intentions sound real wierd and creepy.

We are going to try and tile my backsplash behind my new kitchen counters.  I have watched so many ytube video tutorials, I was thinking it was going to be so easy.  We prepped our area and made a wood template, so what could go wrong.  Well we just found there are different distances between the tiles and we have to use a couple of different size spacers.  Nobody even touched on this subject and how it will effect the look in the end.  Any tilers out there are welcome to jump in an give advice.

Oh no! I have no knowledge of tile work. I hope that you can figure it out or get some help!

I am guessing you are using loose tiles, not the ones that come in sheets with the mesh backer? I would google and see if you can find a way to make it work. You might be able find a pattern that might work. If not, I would take back the tile and choose something else.

I was using the sheet tile and the pattern was arabesque.  They were so unevenly spaced on the sheet, we gave up and chose a different pattern.  We are trying again today.  We have made a template of the wall and have laid the pieces together.  Now comes the cutting.  Cross your fingers.  We have been married for 45 years and hope this together project does not put us over the edge😄.

I am sure you will do fine, just take your time.  Just remember the old saying "measure twice, cut once".  Be prepared to have sore arms after grouting and clean up.

Still working on our tiling project.  Probably would have been done if my husband listened to me in the first place.   I will post pictures when we are done!
