Two Years for Magic Marti

Featured Replies

Well, there you go. Quick as a flash - two years passed.

Whenever someone needed a friendly word. Whenever someone needed a friend in their corner - along would come Marti and post the right thing. Whether it be an encouraging arm around your shoulders or a foul-mouthed rant at the injustices of the world - Marti always says it straight.

Many people here, past and present, owe their quit to her wisdom, her empathy and her care (and in my case simply fear.)

Marti bumbles along, dealing with more in a day than I do in a month - and still has time to help.

I'm a couple of hours ahead of the UK at the moment - guaranteeing me the chance to be the first to raise my glass to the mighty Marti - Smarti, the Aylesbury Tornado and the best quit buddy that anyone could ever ask for.

Marti. A brilliant two years. Two years of massive change, upheaval and growth. Well done you.

CHEERS!

...and thanks very much  ;)

It's all true. Marti, you're magnificent, and you have a way of saying what needs to be said that occasionally makes me envious. Congratulations on two years, and thanks for helping make this place great.

Marti bumbles along...

There is no greater honour.

Conratulations to you Marti on your 2 year quit!  You've given me great advice and support here since day one . THANK YOU for sticking around and helping others along the journey!

What a beautiful post Stuart!!

Here here to our Smarti Marti!! We are so lucky to have you here. Love ya lady. Congrats on the 2 years. You are a warrior.

Two years!  That's worthy of a medal.  Since I don't have a medal I will just say congratulations.

Good work Marti.

Congrats Marti! This is your sticky quit :)

I want to say thank you (now I have internet) but I was lucky enough to see this just before it all switched off on moving day and it touched my heart.

Some people get it done and move on but quitting has become a big part of my experience in life generally and I am passionate about freeing others from it too.

I am as greatful as ever for the support from here, not normally smoking related now, this place has become an online 2nd home to me with supportive friends and people who feel like family should. Ever so greatful and thankful for finding this little niche on the web.

And 2 years free! That still makes me smile, that I got out of the clutches and learnt enough to not get trapped again.

x

Smarti you were one o my examples and I just wanna say be proud girl!!! Really.
