What's Your Quit Song?

Featured Replies

If you had
One shot
Or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted
In one moment
Would you capture it
Or just let it slip?

I don't even like Eminem (my husband does) but this song has some powerful lyrics.

I can't post the video from my phone but it is Fight Song by Rachel Platten ?

This is my fight song
Take back my life song
Prove I'm alright song
My power's turned on
Starting right now I'll be strong
I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me

Not really a quit theme song, but definitely one that I listened to a few times when I was getting myself wound up during the early days of the quit...

Smoking is a prison people! :)

This one reminds me of my early quit days when I was learning to live a smoke free life...

Kinda depended on where I was but these two Paul Kelly ..... early days.... especially the second one I think that sums up that no man's land stage.... never, ever am I doing the hard times of the early days again..... in the really early days it had to be hard or punky cos I just matched the erratic thought patterns.

Beacuse there were days when I did more than lean on my quit buddies... there were days they carried me and I don't think they ever even realised they were doing it...

because these seem to be the 4 hardest letters for me to say... and for those friends who knew that's what I was saying even when I didn't..... thanks for helping me get my feet back on the ground.... I love yous all.

The patron saint of addicts and addiction.

I see you slowly fade away from me
In agony, your life is coming to an end
I hold your hands close to me
Death is near as darkness appear.
My beloved bereaved from me
