Beth, I'm going to miss you so much. Thanks for the PM's of encouragement and for always being so genuine. Your life was not easy but you kept going and made the best of it. You're in the arms of God now. Rest easy. xx

Welcome to the QT! You can do this, one day at a time. Time is your friend. Once you put some distance between you and your last cigarette you'll wonder why you didn't do this sooner!. Promise.
Please stay close to the board and if you have any questions ask us!

So good to hear this! You've handled this emergency like a Rock Star and not only has your relationship with your sister not been adversely affected but you've helped your Mom to recover and made your quit stronger because of it all! Proud of you! Continuing to send prayers up for your family. xx

That's right Hol, you DO NOT SMOKE. Just because you want to does not mean you have to.
Example: I'd like to push my ex-husband out a window. NO REALLY.
The problem is that I would not be happy in prison. I know this. So just because I want to remove him from this planet, I won't because it wouldn't be worth the consequences. Same with smoking.

I'm so sorry you fell but am so very proud to see you get right back up. Keep marching and learn from this to help prevent the same in the future. The only way to quit is to never smoke. Ever. Do what you need to do accomplish that goal and you will be successful. Guaranteed.

So good to hear from you Amy! I completely understand what you are saying and I have even experienced those feelings and thoughts myself. The truth is though, that you don't have the option any longer of not thinking about what smoking is doing to you. You have too much information now. You know there is a forum in which to get support. You know that while it may not have been the best feeling as the nicotine left your system , it wasn't as bad as you've imagined it would be either. So the question is not if you'll quit , but when? To me since you're going to quit anyway you might as well do it now. It's too late to go back to the cocoon, you're a butterfly! xoxo
