  5. I'm not sure I had urges to smoke the first while after I quit. Wanting to smoke was like just a constant thing occupying my mind. So much so that the first week or so I could barely function at day to day life. As Bat said, you just do whatever you have to do to get through that part of your quit. As D said, you are stronger than that feeling of needing to smoke - believe it, you ARE. You just have to want it badly enough to get through it. It's not comfortable. It's not pleasant but it's so worth it once you get through that stage of your quit. Also, that's why you must never take even one puff because that will make you relapse and then you have to start all over again. Look at my ticker thing below. I have only been quit for just over 1 month so what you are going through is still VERY fresh in my mind. It sucks big time I know, I was just there recently. I can also tell you that it is not like that for me now. Sure, I still think about smoking here and there. Quit a bit actually but it isn't constant any longer and it's a lot easier to distract myself and just move on from those thoughts much more easily than it was initially. You will get to that point too. We all do. There's no set time frame as everyone progresses differently but what you are feeling right now will gradually get better and better. You just have to want it badly enough to get there ;)

  7. Yes - we all want to help others once we have taken the step to help ourselves. It really does get pretty awesome after you get through the first bit :)

Glad you had a good time :D It was worth us remaining sticks getting slapped silly all week :P You missed a hell of a party for Boo's 1 year mark but don't worry ..... we have another one coming in a couple of weeks for Stewie's Lido Deck arrival. Get ready to get your drink on :o Welcome back! It's colder where I am today than it's been all winter. Kind of sucks .........................

  13. Good decision Joybella. Think about what you learned from having just relapsed. Why you did and how bad you felt after you had that first cig. Be stronger than the urge next time. Educate yourself about the addiction because as you do, you will understand the lies we tell ourselves about smoking. Smoking solves nothing and only adds to your problems. Stay close here and post your daily pledge in the NOPE thread every day. It will help remind you each day what you need to do for yourself. Let us know how you're doing too :)

  19. Blog away - we're all ears here :) Post up stuff in the general threads too as much as you like. People here will respond to you. You won't feel so along in this effort that way. I know I have found the community to be very helpful in my quit. I have to do the hard part but nice to know others doing the same thing are here for support!
