  1. ^^^ Yup, that's the way I did it. Dove in head first, unplanned; I was just a dumb-f*ck know nothing, wide eyed and gob-smacked - LOL. It doesn't matter as long as you edumakate yourself once quit and make an unwavering personal commitment not to ever take another puff - ever no matter what comes your way. It's just head down & push forward
  2. Things have smoothed out a little for you now tho right JB? Your situation sounds very unusual to me I must say. Who knows why we all go through different issues at different times during our quits but the main thing we all must do is fight like hell .... I mean, fight as if our life depends on it just to get through those times of challenge no matter when they come. I can't imagine you will be challenged to that level again though Jet.
  3. Yes, ethanol is becoming a huge factor as they keep trying to increase the percentage in refined fuel
  4. Yeah, that was the slogan but what they didn't tell you was that eventually, you won't be able to walk 5 steps for anything
  5. Good bike for the highway with lots of grunt down low for a 4 banger. A little top heavy for tight twisty stuff tho. Have about 40,000 miles on it and yes, it's been babied in terms of maintenance What's that Suzuki in the foreground of your pic? It's an oldie but goodie. You could actually do a lot of your own work on the bikes with carbs. This Fi stuff - I have no clue when a fix is needed.
  6. 2004 Kawi Z1000 Yes - full face all the way No smoking with one of those on - lol.
  7. How do you know Lee is a guy? Might be a female Lee? That would be funny if you were chasing your own kind from chicks and sticks game
  8. Yes!! That is exactly the attitude you need. You can do it. Nicotine is gone from your body now if you quit cold turkey and now it's all about retraining your brain to function normally without smoking. That part is tough because it takes time. There's no shortcuts so you just take things a day at a time. It is tough at first but gets easier and easier as you continue along. As you say, you DON'T want to go back to the start - ever!! You've invested a lot of time and work so build on that and you will make it
  9. Welcome to this special place Lee. There is a lot of information about this addiction here for you to read. Education about this addiction is key to quitting and staying quit. As already mentioned, go to the NOPE page and pledge your NOPE daily. It will help keep you focused on not smoking for that day. You will have challenges as we all have had but knowledge and desire will see you through. You also have complete support here from others going through the exact same thing.
  10. Absolutely! The more the merrier Nice pic! Hey, is that SNOW I see?
  11. Nice one "D" Hey Octain, here's my baby. And yes, hoping spring is coming sooner than later? You'll be OK because you know there's a trigger coming and you've learned how to handle them now. It;s the ones that come at you by surprise that are the most dangerous. Just stay on your guard
  12. Oh My! Look who's sporting double digits now!! Big congrats on reaching 10 Months Pumpkin Better go have a look for that suitcase as you'll need to start packing for the Lido Deck soon! In keeping with the Winter Olympics, I'm scoring you a perfect 10!!
  13. I could hardly believe my eyes when I tuned into the Olympics and saw the first game of Cat Curling! Hey Doreen! Is your kitty still around or did he escape to South Korea?? Bakon's gonna love this one
  14. Congrats on your 3 years quit TAC and the other change you have made in your life too! Change is good

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
