  1. You're doing great Novo!! On your 2nd week now and kickin' that Nicodemons butt. Finally free of it's horrible grip on your entire life You're a non-smoker now and I'm sure you are already starting to notice some benefits of that
  2. So why not celebrate completing that first week (which probably seemed like a month?) Doing great with week 1 in the bag! Carry on
  3. Have you guys ever watched the Isle of Mann TT Motorcycle Road Races? You may not view it as a sport but, in terms of speed and danger, it's the best - bar none!! They close the road course on the Isle of Mann in late May - early June every year for a week or two and run super sport motorcycles around the roads, through towns and countryside. Lots of spills along the way! Worlds most difficult and dangerous annual motorcycle road race! May 26th - June 8th this year I think.

  5. Back in the day, even the goalies didn't wear face masks - Lol. That was insanity!! Can you imagine .... frozen rubber coming at you every game? No wonder those goalies were all scarred up and no teeth!! Jacques Plante with the Montreal Canadiens was the first to have a piece of fiberglass formed into a face mask in 1959 I believe. Goalies like Terry Sawchuk with Detroit didn't go to the mask until later. I guess they didn't care how many stitches they got in their face?

  14. Congrats! You done good Very good indeed.
  15. Yeah - that's how it goes unfortunately We ALL go through that or similar. It's a matter of knowing they will come at you and you need to just mentally say "F-YOU!!" and ride it out when that stuff overcomes you without warning. Good news is, those episodes happen less frequently and with less intensity because you have been successful fighting them off so often. Eventually they just give up and die out. It's like everything in this quitting game tho. It happens so gradually you don't really notice big changes. It just gets gradually better and better. I still have smoking thoughts occasionally but now they are very infrequent and with a mental head shake, they're gone - no biggie Maybe think about flip-flops for the wedding. I hear they're in these days

  19. I believe you have it correct except, the resulting face-off goes back to Team #1's end of the ice if Team #1 shot the puck into Team #2's end.
  20. Yes, I believe you got the Offside Rule correct. No Offensive player can be over the oppositions Blue Line before the puck. If they are, the official stops play only when a player for the offensive team makes contact with the puck. If they don't make contact, it's a delayed offside. If all the offensive players get back over to their side of the oppositions blue line before they touch the puck then the delayed offside is waved off. Oh and years ago, there used to be a "2-line pass" offside rule. They got rid of that one though Now - splain "Icing" to us

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
