  3. ugh. Jeff. I could see you setting yourself up for relapse and tried to get information to you to avert one. You have the power to stop obeying the addiction. When you use this power, you will keep a quit. Otherwise you will continue the torture. The choice is clear. and it is a choice between life, freedom and death, illness, despair. The despair might not be your despair but, it will certainly be your family's watching you poison yourself. I say, quit playing this game.

  6. I quit the first time. No big deal. I am no better than any one else with a successful quit. I only say this to encourage quitters and assure them that it can certainly be done. Smokers Don't Have To Quit Multiple Times Before They Will Succeed Is Relapsing On Nicotine A Good Learning Experience
  7. Our subconscious will catch up to the conscious with repetition. The longer you don't smoke the more smoke free memories will be implanted. Body memories were an issue. The hand to mouth thing was broken, I didn't use a fake smoke to mimic, I wanted to change my patterns asap. Sitting on my back stoop taking a break meant a smoke. Then it meant taking beautiful deep breaths and finding beauty to look at. Little changes, over and over and over until they, too, become patterns. Time is our friend, Nana. You are building a beautiful quit. Cherish it, defend it with your life.

No longer can you believe the lies of addiction, your own lies. The old house of cards must come down giving you the opportunity to re-create yourself into a strong and truthful person. This truth, this honesty you start with yourself is a great gift that will serve you throughout your life.

I reached it, and it was like I didn't know what to do after I reached it. “ Boy do I deserve a cigarette for that "I'm still not thinking of myself as a non smoker." What should I call myself? " I'm thinking of myself as a smoker who is trying to stay quit for a certain length of time, not forever! “ For former smokers not celebrating a major milestone today I’m trying to quit smoking One day at a time

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
