  2. Michael, Your quit is very young, very young. You may experience some craves that come out of the blue and may be quite ferocious. These are the dying embers of your active addiction, some brain receptors haven't been switched yet. As time goes by, these thoughts will fade from aggressive to annoying to pffttt. Also, the first year brings seasonal triggers so, expect these. and really, throughout our lives triggers may pop up at particularly stressful times, a drama, a loss. These should serve as reminders that NOPE is the way to stay free.

  10. Lovely weather for YOU, sweet Doreen. I have a neighbor like yours...he is in his early 50's and his morning ritual of smoking and hacking, coughing lasts at least half an hour outside. It is disgusting. and I remember being just as disgusting for so long that I didn't even hear my own coughs anymore. I am so relieved and happy to be free also.

  19. It is highly unlikely that quitting smoking has caused shingles It is very rare that the two are related in any way. Quitting smoking is not to blame for much of anything except giving you a whole new life. Any discomfort that quitting is directly responsible for is short lived and very manageable.
