  4. Kdad, You know the drill, stay strong. Stress for me was, and still is when I am my weakest. Find your power and move on to the next moment. Sounds like your in the grips of it, fall back on what you already know to be true, suckin on those butt's are just that! and a no-win situation that is just there to pull our happiness and turn it into anger, despair and a whole room full of negatives... Keep POSITIVE and keep the faith that things will get better.

  5. Soberjulie Posted November 7, 2015 I dunno if Sarge still posts here but some of his no nonsense, shoot from the hip, tell it like it is words helped me immensely in my first days...weeks...months. The best: Embrace The Suck. You'll have moments, many moments, where quitting just plain sucks. If you're anything like me, you'll think of throwing the towel in....because...."the way I feel sucks!" Embrace the suck. Accept it. Head down and power through it! Wherever you are Sarge.....thank you. I've earned them stripes! I'm coming up on 2 years.......and I never ever have to 'embrace the suck' in regards to nicotine anymore. But Embrace The Suck has been instrumental in many areas of my life Link to original post: https://www.quittrain.com/topic/6233-wise-wordsembrace-the-suck/

That ticker gives me a big positive vibe when i look at it . Thanks for setting it up like all that . Thanks to all the staff and people who have helped me with their talks and advice's One advice i have to give you all is that , you all need more time to learn and to rewire and to adapt to a life without smoking . 10. That's a very thoughtful dog you have. Mine would chase a ball but wasn't thrilled about giving it back and having to go chase it again

  13. The gift of failure is knowledge if you are wise and you have acknowledged and named some truths here, Stew. Thanks for sharing so that I and others know to remain vigilant in guarding are quits. We are all vulnerable. We like to say we are not, but the truth is that we are human and we all slip up, we all make mistakes.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
