I think this is called slave trading notsmokinjo can't remember when it was banned

Oh the princess is far from a slave, she has a shoe collection to rival Imelda and is eyeing off her 3rd leather jacket.

Getting my ducks in a row for a self quarantine.  I'm a healthy 64 and want to stay that way.

Since I don't have to go out...I won't.

NOLA is cancelling festivals,  closed schools, limiting restaurant/bar hours, restricting crowd size.

Still people are not 'social distancing'.

Drunk tourists (and locals) continue partying down on the streets.

So, other than a quick scurry to pick up some parcels later in the week, I am safe behind my shutters. Grateful to be home.

My friend in Lisbon says it is SO quiet.  I worry about Marco, he is in his late 70's and smokes like a whore in church.  😧

Anyone else facing lock downs ?

Most domestic sport comps have been cancelled for now. We have followed New Zealands lead and anyone arriving here has to self isolate for 14 days. For now only the rich kid school where Prices Charles and William went to for a year has closed... all other Victorian schools are still running. There are lots of rumours of a lock down... but at the moment I'm not putting too much chop in the rumour mill its changing by the hour. Victoria (my state) is suggesting extending the school holidays we have coming up for Easter (we have a 4 term school year)...but when you consider 2/3 nurses in Australia depend on school and childcare to be able to work the is an argument to leave them open.

Panic buying continues.... was so nice to come to work today, do a poo and wipe my bum with something other than news paper.

Steal a couple rolls from work @notsmokinjo, they owe you at least a couple for lying to you about working from home!

And yes @Sazerac, we have lockdown here too. In fact just had the first confirmed case in the unincorporated area of my city where we live 😞

The Indian casino has shut down until the end of March and they don't shutdown for anything! All sporting events, community events, etc have been canceled too.

Right... please isolate yourself missy... no more ICU visits for you.

Saddly we don't use rolls at work, we use sheets.

I'm hunkered down and will be for a long while, I think.

I'm a quasi recluse anyway so, it's not much different than real life lately but,

I know other people are in real trouble, what are my friends going to do about rent with the bars & restaurants closing ?

and then the concern about getting ill.  gah.

Stay safe folks...in my part of the world we have 68 know cases and paranoia has taken hold

I had a genuine dust sneeze today and I thought they were going to throw me out lol

Schools closing Wednesday....walked into a supermarket today and had my hands sanitized by a security guard ...smelled awful!

No gatherings allowed of more than 100 people...travel ban etc

My bar is full so I'm ok.....PLEASE someone explained the logic to the shortage of loo paper

Glad I bulk bought 45  loo rolls off amazon  2 weeks ago, checked today and they have gone up by £20.00 WTF.......... They will last me till about christmas.

On hold again from Virgin Airlines again - 4 days now, around 2 hrs each time.  Online forms done, but nothing back yet. I have booked rooms at a hotel about 1 hrs Drive from here. Studied Maps, for quite some time, I don't use a GSP my head is running out of space. Dreamt I was sitting in a classroom last night. and someone stole my place because it was the only computer on the desk!!! weird. Will be attempting some shopping again, today. Shelves empty of toilet rolls of course I wonder what other shelves will be empty.?

New Orleans has shut down, thankfully considering the risks.

Bars, nightclubs & casinos closed

Malls closed

Entertainment venues closed

Gyms & fitness centers closed

Restaurants take-out/delivery only

Public & private gatherings banned

Are weddings banned in the US? I'm in the UK and my Son gets married in May, getting worried for him.

Not that I've heard yet. Hopefully it'll be much better by May for your son's wedding

Upper Mid West USA -

Pretty much everything shut down, except gas, grocery and restaurants.  Pretty sure restaurants and bars will close within 24 hours.

Schools going to distance learning (online) after an 8 day (?) planning session with no school at all.  Many closures coinciding with spring break.  Lots of talk about it being for the remainder of the school year.

We kind of have the Boo thing going on, so we're in take inventory mode.

Concerned about my mom in the South Western desert.   Hoping I can rent a motor home to go get her, if she decides she doesn't want to be in her snow bird residence.  I'd really prefer to go get her right now, but, geez....it's not all about what I want.

Stay safe folks.  Be kind.

Gatherings, like weddings are banned in New Orleans.  It depends on the City and the State.

Sitting on a train heading to work with my little bit of Liverpool.

So they announced this morning that ANZAC Day dawn services (April 25th) are cancelled.. nhj..nhj at all...tipping ANZAC Day I'll still be at the shrine or the local cenotaph watching the sun rise.. just hope I don't get arrested.

So schools...in my state schools are staying open for now unless there is a confirmed case at the school and then the school is being closed. We have 2 schools that got closed yesterday in my immediate area...my daughter's school, they all had to take home l their books yesterday and when/if the school is closed they will be running correspondence/online classes. The focus will be on VCE kids (years 11 & 12). School board is putting a plan to the education department for an 11/12 in school quarantine when the senior academic kids move into the school with some volunteer staff and ride it out.

In my state in the US (NY), any gatherings/events of 50 people are banned.  Movie theaters were closed at 8 pm tonight and will stay closed for several weeks, all schools on LI closed today for at least 2 weeks, lots of cancelled local events (parades, plays, music, etc). The LIRR (train) is still running. TP is hard to find although, if you visit enough  stores you can get lucky! The price of gasoline has dropped amazingly fast....

I had a baby shower event scheduled for next Sunday which was cancelled as of yesterday....felt so bad for the mom-to-be but these are trying times and better to be safe than sorry!

Sweetheart my son is due to go to a wedding in Manchester this Saturday or next  ...I'll let you know if it went ahead ,or is cancelled ...

Self isolating here just going out for a once a week fresh produce top up shop and work, hopefully the weather warms up soon and we will be sitting in the sun with a nice glass of vino and wait for the storm to pass.

I have high anxiety for the weak and the elderly, but am encouraged to hear a lot of stores are now opening up early just for them, this warms my heart.

made a fabulous lunch of corned beef hash, eggs, toast and smoothie.

keeping in touch with people as best I can via phone.

celebrating a week of freedom.

enjoy the little things.  share laughter.  be true. be kind.

Getting the map downloaded for a trip to a local township 1 hr away. I don't have GPS so doing it the "old school way" .Our local Newsagents don't stock Maps any more. We are headed for a hotel resort with separate rooms, (my sister and I)

They haven't closed restaurants or hotels here yet. I am not concerned about the Hotels. I went to our local supermarket yesterday - no toilet rolls of course - no tissues - no hand sanitizer-....Bought some disinfectant only one bottle left. Its really for the floor, but would be ok for bench tops.

I am of the senior age group and doors were opened for seniors yesterday for one hour early in the morning. The problem is, no shelves were stocked so they came away empty handed. Not much point really, I won't be going anyway until I am really really desperate (not much of an early bird).

Keep well everyone
