**** it.  I don't care if you cuss, especially in this forum.  Just a little tact on the main boards though.  Again, **** it.

There are privacy settings on the phone that may be worth reviewing once.

Thanks d2, I'll double check them in case there are more than the initial set up ones 😊

Going off previous topic just to say F..., D..., S... times 100, sorry in a really bad mood.  I am tired of feeling like such a piece if s... I just don't know what the point of this is. In the scheme of things my smoking or not will not mean a change in everything important in the world.  Why should I give up something that only gives me comfort.  I know it gives me a chance at longer, happier life but for what purpose, everyday people are dying through no fault of their own.  I knew all these years I was doing something that was not good for my health. Why did I keep doing it???

Kris ....

You are the most important thing in the world ...

The world is upside down at the moment ...but it won't last forever ....

Sounds like the Nico Monster is trying to lure you back ...telling you lies ....

Don't fall for it ....if you smoke ...sometime down the line ,you will be so angry with yourself ..

Post a SOS if need be ...but keep that quit ....

You answered your own question: “ I know it gives me a chance at a long and happier life…” What more reason do you need?

Move the small rocks first Kris.

Quitting smoking is a simple task and one of the best things you will ever do for yourself.  Saving the world is a complex undertaking.

I would save the earth, but with work and around-the-house projects...I've got other shit to do.

Thanks everyone for the moral support!  I have not and will not cave.  I do physically better since I quit but for me it has not been easy.  Boo, you are right, you have a most important task with your baby girl and I think you call your wife "Sugar Britches".  I am grateful that my husband set everything up so if something happened I would not have to worry. I don't have to work anymore wish I could just to fill the day.

K

Hang in there @Kris you are doing great!!!

The world is crazy right now, but us smoking won't change that.

I can relate I have had them thoughts but it won't help!!!

Just because you don’t have to work, doesn’t mean you can’t! 🤔

Katgirl,

I have been looking for something I could do part time.  My health is plagued right now with chronic migraine ( have one everyday)  and recently by a hip replacement.  I even would enjoy volunteering for many things but have been unable to do so because I don't know when or how bad I will be.  I do not want to cause problems for anyone if I can't show up.  I am between a rock and a hard place.

Drives my crazy.

K

@Kris, I feel it may be worthwhile volunteering.  To me, the idea of being a contributor to this world in whatever way is important.  Sometimes it may be better to do something that's not for ourselves or family.

@Kris, just be patient. When your health improves, get out and do something. There is no point getting upset about something you have no control over. When the time is right, you can deal with it, then. In the meantime, concentrate on getting well.

Kris ...

Find new hobbies ....Learn a new skill....we have folks here learn to knit ...learn to sew...paint ....

You have your furry friends ...I know when I doggie sit King Louis ,I don't have a minute to spare ..

I'm always out walking him ....the day soon passes ...it's just finding that something you enjoy doing ..

You have to turn negatives into positives ....

Try Qi Gong gentle ancient Chinese excersise.....On you Tube ....it's so good for the mind ,and you don't move around ...

I've been doing this for years ....😁

I'm not really in a position to tell anyone how to deal with boredom.  With a toddler in the house, boredom is never an issue.

And I do call my lovely and talented wife "Sugar Britches."  She told me early on in our relationship that she doesn't like pet names.  So, me being me, I bestowed her with the cheesiest pet name I could think of.

My mom does some volunteer work at a place that helps disadvantaged folks with the basic necessities of life.  It's mostly clerical work or some very light sorting.  She has flexible hours and they have been really good at working with her.  She has benefitted greatly from her time there.

Places that rely on volunteers are thankful for any and all help they receive.  Most would be more than happy to work out a schedule that is mutually beneficial.

Yea, you would think that's how it should be on all them but NOOOOO, my phone you press the green phone and swipe up to the center 🤪

I don't have it locked yet because I'm still figuring things out but I imagine once I lock it that'll change too 😫

You should have taken my advice and made monthly payments on an iPhone 12.
