The mainstream media ran with the story and labeled anyone who has been photographed using the "OK" hand gesture as a neo-nazi, white nationalist, and all-around not cool dude. And now, a recent contestant on the television game show "Jeopardy" is having to explain that he doesn't hate minorities and is not a domestic terrorist for the crime of holding up three fingers while being introduced as a three-time champion. Ineptitude and dishonesty in the media are issues I came to terms with a long time ago. This current mob culture in the media is setting a dangerous precedent. That's why the story about the Jeopardy contestant caught my attention. April 30, 20215 yr Never heard of that three finger thing. I'll have to google it to see what it is. Pretty sure the world is no where near reaching the height of political correctness idiocy. I remember as a kid some candies we used to buy - 3 for a penny and the names they called those back then would get you arrested these days lol. Don't get me wrong; I'm all for bringing the pendulum of respect for others back to center but we've gone way past the center point by now IMO. To me it's just respect each other, no matter what the race, religion etc. Beyond that, if you're still complaining, you're just being a crybaby 😭 So many people with an axe to grind 😞

I shared a picture about cutting strings on masks so wildlife doesn't get caught in them on Facebook to a group I thought would appreciate knowing the information. It instantly turned political about blame so and so, don't wear them, yadda, yadda, yadda. So I replied as usually another post turning political when all I wanted to do was share about wildlife concerns. Then some bitch posts that FB is only for shits and giggles and to quit being offended by every little thing! Wtf?! So this little Irish Viking tagged her and said I guess if FB is only for shits and giggles we shouldn't be concerned about the cats you're trying to find homes for, or are you the only one who can post matters of concern?! That kind of stuff just wrecks the enjoyment of being associated with a group of people and no one has ever changed the mind of anyone else when it comes to that stuff anyway so why argue about it. May 3, 20215 yr I only joined facebook to follow my grandkids and also have enjoyed following many students that road my schoolbus over the years. It is such a joy watching them navigate college, marry and have children. It a shame others have to ruin it. I unfriend anyone that wants to put that crap out there.

May 6, 20215 yr Lost this thread and glad I found it cause I wanna curse shout and kick Azz. These covid restrictions are driving me to a breaking point . We are once again practically on lockdown and my kids lives matter but apparently some just don't care $&8@):;?'n! !@&/:(-.?! 😖😣😡 and with the new restrictions comes more resistance. It's all just sick! But I continue to do my part yes , I still do my part to save their azzes and their kids and their grandparents , but I'm tired of this . We have a ways to go yet I'm afraid .. This lockdown is another three weeks , but then what . If people don't stop wanting to be right It's going to get nasty here . Thanks , this thread was a brilliant idea . I'm sorry I've not been able to read the previous posts , but hope you all are doing better . This too shall pass , but I sure hope soon .. losing hope here .
