I get nostalgic too @Lust4Life but then I remind myself of all the peeps that did make it over here and all the new friendships formed and am just so thankful we had such a welcoming place to land.

Those people you mentioned will always have a special place in my heart because, like you, they guided me through my first year. And who knows, maybe one day they'll surprise us and sign up :)I'm just really glad that you're here because you have so much to offer :) xoxo

**** it.  I don't care if you cuss, especially in this forum.  Just a little tact on the main boards though.  Again, **** it.

  • Holy fcuking shit... Just got given a letter from my boss... Got an unexpectedly massive Payrise and bonus due to 'the great level of service provided to my customers'... Tasha will be over the moon,

  • Me!  I'm am counting on all of you to get me through.  Lust4Life I understand how you feel.  You are all beginning to mean so much to me.  I feel as if you all have been friends with me my whole life.

I know what you mean Lust. I have similar thoughts quite often. Now please don't get yourself booted off the train. It would suck to to have to add you to the list!

Mate they let me stay, aint noone getting booted off the train if I haven't :D .... if they can accept my crazy, and the crazy of a few others, then you are safe as houses L4L.

When we join a forum....we don't expect to make deep friendships...but we do...

We understand @Lust4Life....

I've have made friends here ...that are still in my heart ..years after they have gone...

Im sorry you lost your dear friends....but you still have the ones that found this wonderful place...

And one day more might find their way here...

Why would we boot you off ????

Please come here more often and get to know us all better......

I wonder about some people too, but I'm grateful that when the ship went down in the middle of the night, no warning, this train came to pull us out of the water.

I think I get it tho, the change over happened at a crossroads in my personal life and I had to disappear for a while. I didn't feel "connected" to anyone on either board really, I needed space and time to think without cigarettes even entering my mind.

But, now I need to talk, I need to help, and I'm glad they slowed down the train for me to jump back on or maybe I run faster now (? no.not at all)

Um I thought you were just passed out in the sleeper carriage?

I was lucky, my crew (almost all, one didn't) all joined the train as refugees... I have (minus one ? ) all of them here with me, closer than ever.... AND I have a whole lot a new peeps to call my own. I think I was lucky it happened early in my quit. There was less of a sense of loss for me. As I get closer though to the Lido moment there are some from I really do miss a certain cat from out of space because she was so much a part of my early quit. I love it when she pops in to say hi and play some games. I will always have the advice and help she gave in my early days to remember but I wonder how she is all the time.

There's video of the day I stumbled upon this place. It's buried deep in the archives somewhere I think?

Just FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lost a little cousin yesterday to a drug overdose... not sure yet if it was accidental or deliberate.... by little David was frickin 35..... I don't get this shit!!!

You know what's shitty... I acted like nothin was frickin wrong, like it hadn't happened then it just sorta hit this arvo.... So his mum is dying of COPD.. basically confined to her house on oxygen.. his sister is a frickin psycho nut case so David was it, he was his mum's only contact with the outside world (lives very rural)... she wont move to either Canberra or Melbourne where all the family is and its just all frucked up. Sorry guys I just need to get shit out... He did drugs.... he came out, he got clean... has been clean for years, even at the worst of his drug issues he was always this golden light in any room and a bloody good son.... little things all afternoon have been triggering things. My brother is going to the other side of South Australia to help sort out funeral and stuff as he is closest. Its just such a stupid frickin waste.

I'm sorry to hear this Jo...just ******* hate it. Some things are just so senseless and avoidable but still happen; this is the life and death cycle of an addict. Just proof that one more high could be your last.

I'm proud that you are here cussing and not on the sos board fighting your own addicted brain.

This whole train is here to lift you up and hold your hand, Jo...I pray for a strong heart and clear mind for you and your brother as you deal with the aftermath.

Oh Jo, I am so sorry for your loss.  I will be praying for you and your family.  35 is so young.

So wish I was closer and could be there to help you through this difficult time.  You are in my heart and prayers.

My condolences on the loss of your cousin, Jo...to you and the family. Very sad.....

^^ Just did a post about exactly that in the quit smoking threads... pretty sure I am safe from that kinda SOS unless its my bubba... then maybe not so much.

Thanks everyone for the support.

Sorry for your loss Jo ?

Such a shame to be taken by an addiction at such a young age. You're in my thoughts.

Jo....now and again I come to this board ...and someone has wrote s post ,that's blows me away....

Today is one of those days...

Thank you for taking the time to share it with us all ...

Love ya

Xxx

Nightmare fluffin nightmare.. last 2 trains cancelled now am way way late for work...????? and havin to stand for the journey packed in like sardines..  !!

Just think... at least it isn't 30degC...... and ya crammed in like that.... Oh I don't think I wanna go back to public transport 3 days a week ?

Ok so now I need to whinge.... I frickin hate it when its 28C and ya slavin away in the tin pot kitchen cookin over the stove with zero air and you cook a decent meal, with gravy, and grilled herbed tomatoes, and broccoli with cheese sauce, and honeyed carrots and mash and snags (sausages) and the first thing a fruck knuckles do when their plates are put in front of them.... they don't taste it.... no they just start smothering it in salt, and pepper, and chilli flakes and tomato sauce and then then taste it and whinge because its too salty,... or too peppery.... or has too much spice...... Frucking sick of it... it is so rude to not at least taste it first, if they tasted it first I wouldn't care but nooooo.... and then they start rousing about too much this and that... AAARRRGGGHHHHH...... and then cos I am tidying the last of the cooking stuff before serving meself they help themselves to my meal because they have already eaten theres.... I am just so over this.
