Temperatures almost at 0 degrees C so the snow is even melting a little bit and there is going to be some rain (whatever that is) come tomorrow I hear.

Probably just some temporary glitch, sites screw up sometimes. Besides that, there are several "quit" boards out there. I imagine most of the members are the same people across most boards. Plus, if someone keeping their quit is contingent on some web forum, they need to learn to adjust. Yeah forums are nice but what the hell are people gonna do once the effects of the end of net neutrality take hold and there are no more forums save for complete BS like FB?

Snow will be gone in no time if that's the case Places that aren't used to getting piles of snow each winter are ill prepared to deal with it when it does happen and .... with climate change happening all around the globe. this will be come a bigger and bigger issue. The people most worried about this are those in the insurance industry. I expect it will become more and more expensive to insure your house against "all perils" down the road! February 28, 20188 yr Hahaha you would think wouldn't ya.. that was at 8 this morn as it fell .. as the day went it didnt tirn to slush it stayed white strong and mega skittey..!!!! Must be the powder.. Busses and cars were waltzing with one another.. !! And apparently we have more to come tonight and we are already at -10 .. So you're the snow expert so what's this powder snow stuff all about...??? we normally have nice wet snow .. goes slushy then vanishes in the sunshine ????

February 28, 20188 yr That's fkucin right! No cursing - immediate ban - LOL. Went from -15 C to +15 c here in a day. It's not only the time of year but I swear there IS something happening with the global weather these past years. Bigger storms, wider temp swings etc. Seems to be getting more pronounced each year lately?

This would be the worst part because you know how bosses are - "What do you mean you cannot get to work just because the whole city is shut down? I walked 5 miles barefoot in this just to get here" We had some cold days for winter and a few days of snow but very tame winter. I don't know if it's good or bad but our winters have been real tame these past few years. I think winter of 2013 we had record breaking snowfalls but since then - I wonder if even Miami has so little "winter". Yeah Miami is one of those cities where it is summer year round.

As an online newbie-quitter I remember being absolutely devastated last May when the forum went down. I had no one IRL to appreciate my efforts, to cheerlead me, to understand what I was going through. I had no one to talk to, about my symptoms or my feelings, or anyone to give me tips or tricks that might help me. I cried with the loss, and rejoiced when it came back up. I have two friends IRL I've been trying to mentor and support with quits. Neither of them is interested in being part of this or any online support group - and I just don't understand how they can hope to succeed without it! (I'm joking of course - they seem to being doing fine - they are just different than me in what they need to support a quit.) For many people, an online support group is essential. I can say in total truthfulness that I would not be where I am today with quitting without my support group. And I hope to be able to pay at least a little of that forward to other new quitters who need a support group like this one.
