Great actor. Very sad news this morning.

I know, terrible. So talented. Depression is a horrible illness

Rest in peace, you dear wonderful person who brought joy and laughter to millions...you will be missed.

This makes me so sad. He seemed like such a happy man.

Ugh, heartbreaking. :( RIP Robin Williams.

Mental illness steals from all levels of humanity. It is such an insidious disease. Rest in Peace Robin.

How true.

you never know what suffering goes on inside a person.  Many times it's the guy/girl who is funny and seems so happy.

RIP Robin!

Mrs. Doubtfire....the best.  :)

This is just a shocker.

I have never understood how people can put on two faces.  To the public eye, he was so funny, so charismatic and seemed to just embrace life.  And on the inside, he's in the darkest hole anyone can imagine.   I never can quite understand that.  When I'm sad, geez, I'm screaming it....I'M SAD !!!!  to everyone and anyone that will listen.  But I also do the same when I'm happy.

My heart goes out to his family. His children, his wife.  She made the comment that she lost her best friend.  How powerless they must feel.  To finally realize the depth of his depression.  And knowing there is no way to fix it now.

I wish mental illness was taken more seriously.  It truly is an illness.  Just like diabetes, HTN or any other physical disease process and really needs to be recognized as such.

He was a great man.  Made many people laugh.  Some until they cried.  It's very unfortunate he didn't quite grasp how dearly he was loved.  Even by those who never met him personally.

May you forever rest in peace Robin.

One of the funniest, craziest and most creative actors to watch not only in movies but during his interviews as well. It's really sad. RIP.

It's heartbreaking, I loved him, soo sad.

So sad to wake up to the news this morning..    my heart goes out to  his family..

Thank you Robin  for the laughs ....your "Light" will be missed...

rip robin :( :( :sorry:

So very sad to read about this.

I too wish mental illness didn't destroy so many lives, just a truly terrible shame. RIP....Shazzbat.

RIP, Robin.  Great loss to all who loved him.

He was such a funny guy.  My uncle is an actor and was in Patch Adams with him and said he was nice as could be too.  it is hard to believe such a wonderful person who brought joy to so many could be suffering so bad inside.

RIP Robin.

Such a tragic loss, RIP Robin, you  made the world laugh with you and now the world cries for you xxx
