April 4, 201412 yr You have earned the right to flaunt your picture, be proud! You look fit, toned and healthy. I am thinking of doing a before and after when I get to a year. I am the same weight I was before I quit, but look different. It would be a good way to point out what muscle tone does.
April 4, 201412 yr wow you're a star ... I love before and afters ... it's my thing ... one of our boys has done something similar and every few weeks he gets all his latest measurements, fat loss, muscle gain etc ... we put aside an evening just to go through them and compare ... I just love it lol ...
April 4, 201412 yr Lisa You look fab, congrats to you! That is really you...wow ... You've given me inspiration, I need to lose some weight also I want to be able to get into my old swimsuit for the summer :)
April 4, 201412 yr I was thinking about this you know the funny thing is in the first pic I was 34 years old the last pic I was 43 years old theres a 10 year difference lol It was the only "fat"pic I could find on puter I hated taking pics of myself still kinda do but not as bad. Pretty cool that you look and feel better now than you did 10 years ago!!!! Congrats!!!
April 4, 201412 yr Lisa, you look amazing. What an inspiration to us all. You have turned your life around, you must feel incredible. You do look so happy and sooo much younger, beautiful. Thank you for sharing your story and pictures. WOW!
April 7, 201412 yr Welcome to the club, Frez - looks outstanding on you. Wow, quitting smoking AND that weight loss??? That is incredible. It's very possible. Quitting doesn't have to mean getting larger. This is The Sarge several years ago ... Notice the gut. See how round, and bulbous, and ... fatty ... it is. (This might be ... maybe 2010-ish? dunno. Some time shortly before quitting in 2011). Within the first 6 months of quitting, The Sarge lost 36 pounds. (He's gained 12 back, but still down 24 from pre-quit days). This is The Sarge's gut just 3 weeks ago ... It all but disappeared. It's possible, folks. Very possible. The Sarge knows some other folks have done it, too - come on, Scott - [1] pics or it didn't happen ... Post 'em. Easy Peasy PS - second only to Diet/kitchen/portion-control, The Sarge believes the ABSOLUTE BEST weight loss method is long-distance running. The Sarge prefers anything in the 10k (6.2 miles) thru half-marathons (13.1 miles) these days, but he did full marathons(26.2 miles) for the initial weight loss. FOOTNOTE: [1] OOPS. The Sarge found it. Sorry Scott. EDIT: Added footnote Edited April 7, 201412 yr by Sgt.Barney

April 9, 201412 yr So many people are afraid to gain weight when they quit and this can certainly ease any apprehensions they may have and could be the deciding factor on whether or not they decide to quit. A lot of people don't even want to try in fear of gaining weight. You're living proof that you don't have to gain weight when you quit. Again, awesome job! This is so true!! I have teetered back and forth with about 5lbs in my quit.....nothing significant. All my clothes still fit the same. And it was the single biggest excuse I used for not quitting. I was terrified I would gain weight....and that I wouldn't have the dedication and willingness to lose it. Somehow, quitting smoking has just naturally made my mind a little more open to healthy living thoughts. I'm slowly putting some of them into action :)
April 10, 201412 yr Sarge is lookin' good too. Another "Non-Smokin' Men" calendar worthy "after" picture for sure! Woot Woot!!! Or Choo Choo! for the Quit Train! Quittin! It does a body good!
