November 25, 20187 yr Author Grandkids would be disappointed..... If Nana was a Scrooge mac Duck.!!!!!...after all Father Christmas is still around .....
November 25, 20187 yr They're trying to make Black Friday a big thing in Canada too but it's kind of stupid as we don't have Thanksgiving the day before and, everybody has to be at work that Friday anyway so I don't really get it? Most of the "deals" aren't that good anyway.

I find a lot of people buy things only because it's been reduced. They don't need it and they wouldn't have looked at it twice full price. They just seem to be sucked in by the discount.

Lol Black Friday...America's annual holiday reminder that there is a threadbare fabric between a civil society and total f***ing chaos. When you see what some people will do for a discounted television set...it's hard not to lose some respect for our culture.
November 25, 20187 yr ^^^ Yes! I have seen some of those Wally-Mart scuffles at the opening of the doors - my God! Do these people have no respect for their fellow mankind? Oh boy; sad!
November 25, 20187 yr Author Very sad....I couldn't be doing with all that... Pushing and shoving ....NOPE !!!!
November 25, 20187 yr Being retired now I focus more on the family thing and the reason for the season. My gift to the family is that I always cook the holiday dinners though I still get the grandchildren a thing or two. As to Black Friday, many years ago I worked for Wal-Mart. If you think it is chaos and insanity on the customers side you should be on the customer service side -- never again will I work it or will I partake in it, I desire to keep my sanity.
November 26, 20187 yr This has reminded me. Many years ago a story from our Tesco made it into the newspapers. It was the tragic story of an almighty punch up between two men fighting over the last bag of brussel sprouts on Xmas Eve ????
November 26, 20187 yr I would fight for the last bag of Brussels.... but they are out of season for our chrissy... and well not really Aussie Christmas Food.
