  1. This is a fantastic post! :) It's baffling when you really think about it, eh? When we first quit or are thinking about quitting, we assume it's going to be SO hard. We can't possibly achieve something so "difficult." No, it's not hard... if you're serious about quitting, you will. Simple as that. The most my quit did was make me a tad uncomfortable in the beginning, like you said. Those first three days... phew. I never, ever want to go back there again. :)
  2. Hey Caroljo! Congrats on your decision to quit. That's the first and most important step. Once you're ready, you'll toss the e-cig aside. :) Doesn't matter what you do to get there, just as long as you succeed! Don't beat yourself help for needing the e-cig. You do what you feel is necessary! Welcome. Stay close to the board, read often, and post as much as you'd like! We're here to help every step of the way.
  3. Goooo Holski! 6 months is fantastic. Thank you for being you and all you do! I have always enjoyed talking to you on chat whenever you're around. Congrats!
  4. We're doing pretty well, I'd say. :D I like how much activity there is here, no matter how many members we have. It's great.
  5. I lol'ed at the computer...
  6. Timber by Pitbull/Kesha.
  7. I just finished Love Anthony by Lisa Genova. I've started A Cupboard Full Of Coats. Anyone read this one yet? If so, what were your thoughts? I also have Looking For Alaska on the go, but can't find the book, lol. So it will have to wait.
  8. Another smoke-free day for me, thanks! NOPE NOPE NOPE. :D
  9. You can do it Jen! You've got this. The wheezing could be mostly attributed to being burnt out and your recovery? Although, when I started working out for the first time in years a couple of months, I was wheezing/coughing a lot. Now, not so much, but I hear grinding in my knees, so I can't do squats. :( Hmph, lol. The damage I've done to my body!
  10. It's a great feeling, isn't it? Just wait until you forget you smoked for months at a time! Trust me, it WILL happen.
  11. I just finished some full body/upper body stretches and an aerobics video. Sweating like crazy, but will be doing Leslie Sansone's two-mile walk soon.
  12. Congrats! The reason you didn't smoke is simply because you are COMMITTED. You wanted to quit more than you wanted to smoke today. You should be very proud of yourself... I know I am. :)

I made minestrone soup. Added some spinach to mine because my iron's low, so have been feeling kind of sluggish lately.

    Apologies!
  17. So very true Trish. I honestly think the guilt a person feels after a relapse is far worse than those 3-minute cravings. Why work so hard on something to give it up over a temporary craving? Relapses suck. Period. You're back where you started and have to go through Hell/Heck Week all over again. Not fun and I would not recommend it. The cravings go away. At some point in your quit, you'll even be at a stage where you forget you smoked in the first place. Everyone can do this. Quitting IS possible!
  18. Hehe, I was envisioning this in my head. The last time I was in Lush (which was months ago), I dragged my boyfriend in with me. I did buy stuff (not enough for THAT much) and my boyfriend stood around awkwardly while the sales clerk talked my ear off. Finally, I said no to some foot scrub she was trying to sell me. I don't really NEED food scrub when I have a Rexall basically in my closet as it is. I've never seen my boyfriend so relieved to get out of a shop before, lol.
  19. Julie, I remember you mentioning Lush the other day. I LOVE Lush. Now I'm resisting the urge to buy. :P Damn, so tempting.
  20. Same here. Hope all is going well! Keep us updated. :D Remember, NOPE!
