  1. Well done Julie! Talk about triggers! As you repeat that process your brain will slowly stop associating smoking with that activity. It takes a while, but it does happen.
  2. Sharon, when did you become a man?
  3. Great post Jonny, you actually had me laughing at my own actions as a smoker! I used to feel that I was being so much healthier and saving money by rolling my own and using a filter! It's just insane! I remember when they started including another chemical in cigarettes to help with the fire hazard when dropped etc...and how outraged I was at the idea that they were doing that! It's like they didn't care about my health at all. :wacko2: that additional chemical was a game changer for sure!
  4. I was waiting for Beth's reaction. lol

    Wedding

Oh that is awesome! Love weddings :):) The planning is the best part.
  6. Love that analogy Jonny, very true. Once you get out of a relationship that is bad you realize you should have left sooner. Also I would like to comment in regards to my ex-husband, that I hope he does not think badly of me. I let him live after all--parts and all. Not sure about the current Mr.....He has these opinions and he insists on sharing them. WTF? I just don't see the point in that when we're going to do it my way anyway? What were we talking about again?...
  7. I wondered how you would handle the spin class issue. Maybe pay the money to go to the one closer to home?
  8. :friends: Thanks Jonny and all! You guys are the best!!
  9. Wonderful news!! xx
  10. :girl_cray2: This is so awesome! MQ you are the best!! Edited to add that I think it will be up to the "sticks" to say if there are more than enough to shake at.

  15. I am so proud of you!!! I cannot believe it's been a year already. You have been such an awesome friend, thank you so much for your never ending support. I'm so happy to have been able to take this journey with you. You are a shining example for others to follow. I knew you'd make it all along because, no way is Buffy gonna be Nicotines Bitch!!
  16. I never heard the details of your symptoms when you had your heart attack. Isn't it just crazy that you went to get help because it was hard to smoke! That was me too. I'm glad you quit Green and that you keep sharing your story with others. This is the kind of stuff that inspires people to quit.

    my day

I had a abnormal pap once. They did a procedure and before long my paps were normal again. That was like 12 years ago and no issues since. I worried too, so I won't tell you not to, but the likelihood is that it will be easy to treat and you'll be good to go. Big hugs!! It's always so nerve wracking to get news like this but try to think on the positive side.
  23. Alright now that's enough!!! It's bad enough the eggs have to wait in line behind Nancy because she's the favorite, but when the H E L L did Julie get in the mix? Back of the line Julie girl!!! No cutting!!
  24. Compared to the dishes being made in this thread my BLT this evening seems kind of...Not so special. It was good though!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
