  1. Get well soon our dear pig.
  2. Welcome Control Freak. I am so glad you found us and are ready to quit. I am so sorry you have been having to navigate such heartbreaking and difficult situations. Sometimes our lives feel like they are so out of control. Quitting smoking will give you some of that power and control back. Be sure and read and educate yourself on your addiction and stay close to the forum. Shout out as you need us. We are here for you.
  3. Yes, I had them in the beginning of my quit. It amazed me how realistic they were. I am now over a year quit and I do not have them anymore. I don't quite remember when they disappeared.
  4. Mee commented on Vivianne's blog entry in Viv's corner
Vivianne, thanks for sharing your story. I grew up in a nonsmoking home. Smoking to me was just a "Hey look at me, I am an adult". It should have been "Hey look at me, what an idiot". I continued to smoke for 42 years. I even made my husband quit, after the kids were born, because he needed to be healthy to support us. What a hypocrite I was because I couldn't quit. I know he wanted me to but never shamed me. He is thrilled that I have found the strength to quit through this forum. Now I try not to look back. I only want to look forward to the time I will, hopefully, recoup. I am so glad I can be a part of your journey to freedom. I look forward to celebrating your many smokeless, days, months and years!!!!!
  5. Wow! I hope you feel a little better!!! My goodness, I think you have been way too nice. You need to put them in their place!
  6. Mee replied to Stewie's topic in Socializing
Stewie, I was sorry when you left. You did add so much to the forum. I don't think you offended anyone, at least not me. I think I could tell you were struggling and wished that you would stay so we could help . I am so glad you have kept your quit and found your way back. Know we are not only her to help you keep your quit, we are your friends and care!
  7. Boy Vivianne, you are doing great. Quitting smoking and still being a morning person!!!!
  8. Congratulations Wansit. I am so glad you are smoke free and doing great. You were a big part of my quit also. I remember sharing in your journey. Looking forward to partying with you and celebrating your years quit!
  9. Gee Boo, I thought men had natural pointers that help them find their ways.
  10. Yes Heather!. You are still in hell week. The first week you can expect your emotions to be all over the place. Just know it gets better each day. Be proud of yourself. Stay strong.
  11. Nope! Happy Halloween
  12. Welcome Forestgreen. Wow, seven months quit is awesome. Make yourself at home. We are here to help you keep this quit! You really have done the tough part on your own. The rest of the jouney is just redirecting those craving thoughts.
  13. Way to go Heather! Do whatever it takes to push through the first few days. It is wonderful to have support from your family because you will be a little cranky. Know that you are doing this for them, as much as for yourself. Know that every day gets better!
  14. Oh jillar. This is a very difficult and confusing time. I know they continually reassess them in hospice and try to push them out. Assisted living is expensive and they will nickel and dime you perpetually. I hope you can find a place that she can be taken care of and be comfortable during this time. I will continue to pray for you and your family.
  15. Mee replied to Kdad's topic in The S.O.S. Board
Oh no Kdad. It wasn't too long ago we had your big party. I dislike winter too. We have so many gray and overcast days. You must just be having a brain blip. I know you are loving your smoke free life. I am so glad you posted so we can be here for you.
  16. Welcome HeatherDianne. You have made the right decision to quit and have found the right place for help and support. Don't look too far ahead, in the beginning. Take one day at a time. I smoked for 42 years and never thought I could quit. Looking back, quitting is actually a couple of tough days and then redirected those craving thoughts. There is plenty of information her and lots of fun and support. Stay close to the forum and shout out if you need us. We look forward to helping you succeed in quitting!
  17. Boy Jo, that young one of yours keeps you moving. That sounded like a very professional climb. You go girl!!!!!
