What an awesome thread to start my day with, although I am sure the others on my train are wonder just what on earth has me laughing like a loon. It's always great to have another Jo/e ... So my brain fog seemed to last forever but I think in hindsight (such a wonderfully useless thing) that it was prolonged by using NRT and it didn't really clear until I'd flicked that too. I also tend to be a bit scatty anywho. Juice is a magical elixir, I reckon pineapple juice is the way to go. I know @reciprocity.....and guess what..they frickin lied...it's always, when this issue is fixed, when that issue is fixed...but it ain't ever Gunna happen...my doctor has eased the restriction on my liscense so I'm looking at new (used) cars ATM....which will make my trip in and out easier each day...and quicker...and less anxiety.

Doubly glad to be an Aussie after reading all this. Vapes have even stricter laws here than cigarettes...completely illegal in some states. I did have the discussion with the kid, basically she thinks it's even more stupid than smoking and smoking is about as stupid as you can get. So they argue there product is a quit device, then how the hell do they justify making it more addictive...turn it up fellas, do they really think we're that stupid not to see it for what it is, a mad scramble to hang onto their dying cash cow.

Turn it up 57 is fribbles weather...in Melbourne it rarely dips below 50 during daylight hours but when the winds coming from the Arctic that can feel a lot lower...today's high was 57 but feels like 42.8 .... I was not impressed....it gets colder inland and in the ranges but let's put it this way...my kid has never seen snow in all her 13 years. @Linda Thomas ... Our seasons are the opposite of yours....so summer for us is December to Feb.....I've had a 109° Christmas day....which is why I hate the flippin Chrissy song Let It Snow and Its Cold Outside....cos baby it's not.

It just sort of creeps up one you, one day you suddenly realise you don't feel like shit and you're not sure when you last did. And the way you feel now, while still not perfect, is better than how you felt 30 days ago for sure. It's just that the improvements are a little each day so you don't really notice. It's like kids..you see you kid every day and don't really clock their daily growth but you see someone else's kid once a month and you notice the growth each time.. well it's sorta the same.

Maybe it's an age thing, you two fellas weren't teens when it came out so it wasn't "the thing"....didn't consider the age aspect

....well that's just crap. Just realised I held off posting the flipping poll until I found the Jimmy Little cover of Stand By Me and it's not the one I wanted.... It's a completely different song called Stand By Me....I was hunting for a country version of the song I grew up listening too on an old real to real... ....so it's not even a cover....which is total crap.

Oh Reci thanks for sharing those pages. That's such a great save. Think of all the history that book has been around for. Saddly I could tell the kid we were going shopping for barbed wire and she'd be excited....I'm sure that word shopping has bells and whistles going off in her head...she is so not my kid at times...as for explaining history....here's a fun activity try and explain fax machines to a thirteen year old and her friends...they thought I was making it up so they googled it.

Despite my experience I'm not against Champix (what it's called down here) and I'm sorry if I gave that impression ... I know too many successful ex smokers who used Champix for it not to be worth trying if cold turkey is not for you. It's not like I didn't have an NRT crutch at the start of my quit. If it gets you over the line to freedom they go for it...I'm with you 100% of the way.
