  1. Maybe he lives in jail and a soap on a rope is a safety concern? (course joking)
  2. Congratulations @Giveintowin for achieving your 7th month of freedom. Not only are you an awesome quitter who is showing us all how to fight those latent, crazy out of nowhere craves but you are also a solid presence on the boards support all of us weather its with our quits or just life in general. So make sure you do something special today to mark this milestone, you deserve some pampering. Well done mate.
  3. Gee don't hang me for me father's crimes.....maybe he likes the 70s best cos that's when he got me?
  4. Hours, often with multiple water top ups to maintain that temperature... have a read.... surprisingly it is one of the few places I easily fall to sleep... which doesn't work too well when you wake up underwater and this practice has seen the demise of many a good book. Bath: Cuppa or Wine while ya in there.
  5. minesweeper or solitaire or memory match... play on of these. memory match is good cos your brain is too focussed on the matches to crave.
  6. My dad asks for soap on a rope, is that a bad gift?
  7. Are you going to play freestyle or backstroke?
  8. Morning on this wonder POETS day to all my fellow NOPErs. Today, the American's give us Geek Pride Day, Wine Day and Tap Dancing Day... hmmm I wonder which one I will be celebrating??? Oh if you happen to notice that there are randoms getting about town carrying a towel its because it is also Towel Day... now unless your a geek you may not get this but it is a nod to Douglas Adams, author of The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, the most important thing that you need to remember in order to celebrate is DON’T PANIC; no matter what the day throws at you, draw comfort from the knowledge that you’re armed with your trusty towel. So in the towel like spirit of not panicking... lets all make that safest of daily pledges and: NOPE ... cos if that nicodemon comes near me today I'll just flick her wif me towel. Got my towel ready: Topic of the Day: The Naughties (2000s)
  9. OK... first there is the white chocolate ... now there is 10 Things I Hate About You... aka the taming of the shrew.... you sure your not my 12 yo daughter... we have to watch 10 things I hate about you every month at that special time... followed by Joyful Noise and then topped off with one of the Cinderella Story movies.....
  10. HOT HOT HOT.... must come out like a lobster... although I was having ice baths over summer so that I could catch at softball... all cold water and 3 bags of servo ice.... fricking mental. Bath: Bubbles or Radox
  11. ^^ cepting on ice with a bit more biffo...
  12. Considering he's the one dishing out the spankings I think that might need to be reversed.
  13. ^^ Um... that's not really playing cricket Slippy... that's a little bit tricky calling that playing cricket.... playing cricket is a game... havin a hit in the nets, or going for knock at trainin that wot you did... but playing of the cricket not so much... ... you tricked me with your creative use of English.. ?
  14. @Sslip did you play a game of cricket last night??? or did you go and train...
  15. Crowd(ed) House

  17. ^^ Look where you are because of you!... You're doin the hard work sweetie not us....
  18. Drive (this is a sport thing too so it is)
  19. Pints
  20. I was a fog dweller too Kate. My energy levels just sort of came back to what they were as the fog cleared... It wasn't a sudden surge of energy it was just a case of my noticing that I didn't feel like I was dragging through molasses to do everything anymore.
  21. Does your Humane Society have a volunteer dog walker program??? or similar??? Maybe just volunteering to walk the dogs would help as a reward?? Or an elderly neighbour with a dog that needs walking, you could volunteer to do that for them.
  22. Deep breath, focus on the in and out... its amazing how powerful it can be to just type into words what you are going through.... how it gives you back the power and strips it from the whining whingey voice of the nicob1tch in your head... NOPE loud, NOPE as often as you need. Its frustrating when your mind is at that split stage, you don't want one, you know you don't want one but that nagging voice is doing the tempt... frustrating as hell, but you passed it, you are stronger for it. Well Done.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
