Every day, every crave you conquer brings all the power back to you. Soon, you won't be 'faking' it, it will become second nature. Stay aware and protect your quit. You are doing GREAT. Thanks for checking in, Diz.

Spend your time wisely. Educate yourself again about nicotine addiction. Read and watch the scary films until your eyes bleed. Make lists, why you smoke, why you want to quit. Prepare. Dig in some supplies. Juices and fruit to keep your blood sugar happy. Gum or lozenges or cinnamon sticks to keep your mouth occupied. Really good foods to assist your endorphins. Think about what rewards will make a difference in your brain and reward yourself for every crave beaten. Start practicing deep and conscious breathing. You can have fun on your journey.

Hey, Abby. Sorry you are on tenterhooks waiting for the Doctor, stressful Birthday ! Keep calling her back and often ! so, you don't get lost between the cracks. Remember to Breathe and do something to reward yourself today. Make it something extra soothing. Maybe an hours long bath with a martini in hand or, cocoa ?
-
Your self-preservation skills kicked in big time. I am so glad. Make a plan, you do not have to live in crazy town. Take care of yourself, YOU ! We all care about you. @Doreensfree !!!! Where y'at ? Don't make Doreen come after you with her fryin' pan !
-
You do not need to add to your stress by feeding addiction every 20 minutes. Stay focused. Stay clean. You are smart to come here.
-
You must take extra good and careful care of yourself. Reward yourself, your endorphins are way, way too low. Chocolate ? Deep, deep clean clear breaths ?
-
Hey Jules, You KNOW smoking will not change anything for the better. Remember, Cristobal's Your Quit & Your Life ? I am so sorry to hear about the horrific diagnoses in your family. You have a lot to deal with. Please, don't smoke.
-
You, your Future, your Freedom, your Health, your Psyche, your Family or your Animals needn't wait a NY heartbeat or, stay enthralled with the addiction. Quit, don't be silly. Quit now !

Jim, You're click bait headline is misleading and aggravating. Glad it was just a dream. -
Thanks, Lilly. I am glad @WeegieWoman is around, she is a patch success story. You don't smoke anymore. Congratulations.

Lilly, Are you on NRTs ? Have you being advised by a counselor ? What kind of counselor are they ? Do you have a plan that you worked out ? Answer if you will, I think it would be helpful for those newly quit or about to jump into a quit. It will also be helpful to your supporters in guiding you the best way. It is always very exciting starting a new adventure, use your exuberance to solidify your commitment to yourself. Your smiles will be rewarded.

I just wrote this on DizzyD's introductory thread I kept yelling, 'FREE YOUR HEAD!" I took screaming hot showers. I drank water. I ate all the Satsumas in town. Finally, I was able to replace a smokey thought with something of beauty, a sensory delight. 'that light on that leaf' or 'the taste explosion of that Satsuma', I would listen intently to that piece of music or, luxuriate in that warm embryonic wind... This technique helped me the most.

Hey Christa, Congratulations on your Seven Months of Freedom !
-
Marti ! Happy Five Years of Freedom, doll ! You have changed your life for the better in so many ways and it has been a pleasure to be on the QTrain with you. Please don't forget to celebrate !

Hello Dizzy one, welcome to our merry band of quitters ! I thought there was something wrong with my brain not shutting up, also and you know what was wrong ? It was an addled and addicted brain. I didn't realize that I had been harassed by nicotine every 20 minutes or so for 40 something YEARS ! Once I understood, I didn't feel so nutty. Once I understood, I consciously began to switch up my brain patterns. I kept yelling, 'FREE YOUR HEAD!" I took screaming hot showers. Oh ! Don't forget to reward yourself while you re-boot your brain. Check this out, The Significance of Rewards. Congratulations on your quit ! Eight days of Freedom WON ! Soon, you will have your brain back. Sometimes quitters slog through a fog for a while. This is just the healing process. You don't smoke anymore. Yay you.
