  1. I've heard about the cauliflower crust and have been wanting to make it. Looks good!
  2. My shampoo! Sometimes I shake my head just so I can get a big wiff of it, lol. Yes, I am a weirdo! I also love the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Yum!
  3. Chrispy made a really good suggestion. As a young smoker, I never listened to anyone. When I sat outside on my steps to smoke, there was this guy who kept approaching me and telling me his friend had tongue cancer from smoking. I continued to puff away and didn't pay him much attention. People tried to tell me smoking was bad for me, but I never once listened to them. Not until I was "ready" to quit. However, it would not hurt to tell her your story. You could even start it off with something like, "You know, I used to smoke..." and go from there.
  4. This still scares me. Powerful post MQ!
  5. Always lurking.
  6. I live in an apartment building and they hand out candy in the lobby, so I can't make them do any fun Halloween games because I don't see them. But hey, those sound like fun torment, haha. I'm going to say it's a NOPE Halloween for me. :)
  7. Woo! Congrats on your 10 months DD. Amazing accomplishment. :) That one-year anniversary is coming up shortly!
  8. 10 minutes of aerobic steps (about 920 steps), 20 minutes of Wii Fit Plus, and 30 (or more) of walking.
  9. I showed Steve your dinner Ross and he said, "Giggity giggity." Lmao, I think he approves! The 518 calories was great. I was happy about that. But 350 for the drink? Ugh, not worth it! Lol.
  10. Oh God, I would devour that. Lucky bastard, lol. This is what I had for lunch. Not nearly as monstrous as yours, but compared to what I've been eating lately, this was my big "splurge" this week. 518 calories for the dinner (chicken filet, salad with dressing, roasted potatoes, and rice) and 350 calories for the damn drink. I was so upset at myself, lol.
  11. Recipe? Pippa, your food looks amazing!
  12. Another NOPE day!
  13. That looks amazing Chrys. Good luck! I decided to make taco rice with brown rice. Paired it with the salad I made earlier:
  14. Haha, no worries! I still like looking at the "unhealthy" stuff. ;)
  15. Thanks Humbled!
  16. Because artists are usually starving? He's amazing though. Wow!

    Pet Pics!

D'awwww, I love looking at these pictures! "Mom, you have crappy taste in music. I shall sleep on your All Saints CD."
  18. Really not feeling motivated to cook today, so leftover squash and pork with a salad of cucumbers, tomatoes, red bell peppers, mushrooms, and balsamic vinegar:
  19. Ross, isn't it 4 a.m. there?! I can't even remember what mine was, lol.
  20. Thanks Sandy! I know this just looks like a pile of mush, but it still tasted good. :) I made some couscous as well:
  21. Your husband is so talented DD!
  22. It's got 4.8 out of 5 stars and really good reviews, so here's to hoping! http://www.bigoven.com/recipe/pauls-pork-chops-and-butternut-squash-for-the-crockpot/187483
  23. Damn Humbled, I love chicken parm. Must... resist. Here's dinner tonight. Another new recipe, so I have no idea how it will turn out. Squash, pork chops, beer, onions, garlic, salt, pepper, and a tablespoon of maple syrup:
  24. I showed these to Steve this morning and he was sooo jealous about the Minecraft one, lol. They have a pumpkin carving contest at work tomorrow and he was grumbling about how his suck in comparison to your hubby's. Lol, I had to remind him your hubby doesn't live here or works where he works. What a guy.
  25. Thanks Tracey! :) I'm on MyFitnessPal. I've used it in the past, but haven't been consistent with tracking. I've been logging on for 10 days and have tracked everything! It's such a useful tool. I have been taking pictures, so hopefully I'll be able to show some progress. :D

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
