  1. Yes! You've done what they said couldn't be done. Great job. Hold onto that rope because each day gets a little better. I was traveling alone Tuesday to do a very stressful task having to do with my late father. Out of the blue I thought to myself, imagine how you used to handle these things. Chain smoking. Now it doesn't even cross my mind as something I would consider. You will get there too, freedom is so worth being uncomfortable in the short term.
  2. I'm so proud of you Evelyn! You don't quit and you push yourself to achieve what you want. That's a pretty big deal.
  3. Did my first official 10k yesterday. 61 min. And I didn't even really have time to train. Things are just easier as a non smoker.
  4. I did that all the time in my head when I first quit too, and let me tell you. It works!
  5. Welcome back Tiffany. You owe it to yourself to be free of those nasty things.
  6. Couldn't have happened to a sweeter person! Well done.
  7. It's amazing how quickly the body rebuilds. I think it's been about 3 years and 3 months for me now. I can't even imagine being that ashamed little addict anymore. And for 20 years I couldn't imagine being anything other than a smoker. I thought I loved it. Being a smoker was just embarrassing. Truly the urge goes away 100%. It can and must be done.
  8. Oh, my. Gosh. What about how it takes your health and wealth and, well you get the picture.
  9. Very nice! It just keeps getting better from here.
  10. I listen to this yoga Nidra on YouTube a few times a week https://youtu.be/jk0TaWD-060 *side note - auto correct keeps trying to change Nidra to nudes.
  11. Very well done! Many congratulations
  12. Staying active is critical because you are held accountable to your new online quit fam. Not so easy to give up and think no one will notice then. Your life is literally what's at stake. Plus it's fun!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
