  1. @Cbdave, did you mean Sun? Nope!
  2. d2e's quit (and owner) both alive and kicking so far.
  3. Well done @Kate18 in fighting it off, great spirit and determination. Perhaps this thread will inspire others to post their own SOS and save their quit. Good to know, next time we will recommend it early, or perhaps save it on a post-it on your fridge. I feel like eating an entire ice cream too .
  4. Hey @Kris, Please do keep posting as we want you to succeed in your quit and perhaps allow for the fact that mods will do what they need to do to keep the site organized. It's all good. @jillar is a Mod and is simply doing her job. It's not intended to mean anything other than keep the site clean. Being assertive when faced with rudeness is correct. However, we don't know what you're going through and don't think it needs to be the end. I think everyone will continue to support your quit. (One of the techniques we're taught is to never post in reaction - just leave it in draft and come back later to decide whether to post it. )
  5. No kidding, I have good reason ....
  6. The question was genuine - I truly thought they were personal messages. Maybe they've always been there and didn't pay attention (or perhaps it's only recently someone started using the feature).
  7. @Cbdave, great post.. At this point in the quit I don't really need a daily NOPE but at my core I'm an addict and Nope remains important.
  8. @Kate18 Glad you posted here. That tells me you don't really want to smoke - after all, you've got such a great quit going. Feel free to post here what you're going through, it might help you cope.
  9. Got it! Somehow posting something to the moderators doesn't seem to be as daunting. It's having to dream up a topic that's worthy of a thread starter - that's the difficult part. Did you say you're a singing machine in front of a bunch of drunks? Any chance it's on youtube?
  10. Looks to be personal messages.
  11. Ooooh ... Collaborator! Do we need a gang name?
  12. The trail muscles seem to be starting to get better, tonight's run wasn't so bad. Maybe the lower temp after the rain helped. It was good to be able to keep the pace reasonably up.
  13. I think you guys have helped me earn the next rank by replying to this thread. The promotion was waiting for me when I logged on so it would have to be what you did rather than anything I did because I had not done anything yet. THANK YOU THANK YOU. I can now join the crime peeps. Prefer the diamond heist over pizza takeover personally - you know, just go big if you're going to go bad.

No point questioning life, is there?
  15. @Linda, hope you're feeling better. Glad you posted here first.
  16. @Cbdave, hope all good. Nope!
  17. Matchsticks will work also.
  18. Answer away @Kris. I sleep late as well plus tomorrow (or today now) is a holiday so I could go really late. I can see the board has been good for you in some ways. Generally, when people post often, it's usually a good sign that the quit will be successful. Doesn't mean that quiet people will not but, you know, generally. Not sure which part of the world you're from but house prices here are through the roof.

@Abby, are you in BC? It's in the news with the number of heat deaths. Sudden heat deaths I think it was called. On the weekend, I had gone for a run in the evening and perfect strangers were offering me water. I knew the humidity was getting to me but since I couldn't see myself I don't know what it was they saw that made them offer it. (oh, this was just outside Toronto).
  20. Oh my, Congratulations @jillar. Keep it up. I can see the tail in the distance now ... fading away. So does that mean we cannot be PIC? 😞
  21. Guys, please don't finish all the crimes by yourselves. I'm trying hard to join you.
  22. @Kris, your neighborhood sounds like the place I'd like to move to.
  23. @Gus, Sounds like you may be starting to enjoy the job a tiny little bit. If that's the case then isn't it wonderful. I remember the day you posted when you were still interviewing.
