We also had a member on my first forum who went by eeyore. He was one of the nicest most supportive people there and every time I replied to his post I would write for instance "thank you eeyore" but AUTOCORRECT would type "thank you eyesore" 😂 And that one I didn't catch until he said something along with a pic of a really sad eeyore 😂 Edited June 25, 20215 yr by jillar Autocorrect corrected my post about autocorrect 😂

Check out AI TAY when you have a moment - it was released on Twitter and was designed to learn from interactions with humans and went downhill pretty fast. btw - I notice I'm a novice after years on this forum (while on the other forum was an "Advanced Member" in a couple of weeks and had wondered if I was worthy). @jillar, you're a rookie and you have almost 20k posts - what are the levels and how do we get there? June 25, 20215 yr I'm presuming the badges are incentives to keep moving forward . People with a competitive drive may see the competitive side . Or it can be a personal incentive like writing your goals on a calendar . For myself I can't say they'd help my drive to quit or stay quit . The reward is my quit . I'm quit because I chose to help myself , I post to help others because that's what I want to do . Everyone is different l guess . June 25, 20215 yr I turned the autocorrect feature off on my phone. I use the notes feature a lot at work. Rather than write out the word acetylene, I just abbreviate "acy." The phone kept changing that to Acyclovir. Found out later that Acyclovir is a medication for cold sores and genital herpes. I'm not gonna stand for some technological gadget starting rumors about me.

In relation to your post Jillar , I get it . My computer is as old as the hills it posts words I can't even understand and multiple words together , and if I backspace it might wipe out an entire paragraph or the whole thing . Editing can take me long than writing it .

June 25, 20215 yr @jillar, I saw I had been made Rookie and for a few moments I felt this pride that my badge had finally managed what my ticker never did - it seemed to always be a few months behind you no matter how hard I stayed quit. But the badge .... with it's Rookie status ... had caught up to you. Was going to brag about it and just noticed you'd moved up not 1 but 2 steps to Explorer. Now, the question is - what comes between Rookie and Explorer (and why Explorer?). Oh well, nothing in life is easy (sigh).

I might agree with the low wages part but I wouldn't consider my employer to be "skilled." Not sure what that has to do with quitting smoking. A 6 year quit and I am now an apprentice, lol.
