  1. Welcome kitano and congratulations for taking back your life You are very smart to quit at your age, I wish I had of been as smart
  2. I practiced NOPE by starting each day with a pledge on the NOPE thread my whole first year quit. It was very important to me to not only affirm to myself that I wasn't going to smoke that day but also to stand with my fellow NOPers as united in beating this addiction.
  3. Super happy for you MLMR

    True or False

Lol true, I watch the show but usually catch it as a rerun TNP has stairs at their house
  6. Glad you got past that bad crave Kate and reciprocity is totally right in that we can only be responsible for our own addiction. Though I do think that a long term quitter successfully quitting is encouraging to others who don't feel they can quit. You are in WTF week now Kate and it gets its name for a reason. It can be a tough week so just keep telling yourself that once you're through it you never have to do it again.
  7. Yay Farmville, congratulations on this huge accomplishment! And those are some great gifts you won aren't they

  12. I got my first quit smoking cold at about six months quit @Linda Thomas and was so happy at how mild it was and how quickly I got better. When I smoked I would get sick 3 or 4 times a year and usually end up on antibiotics for bronchitis. Now I never get sick, except the chronic asthma. I hope you feel better soon Linda, xoxo
  13. I'm in my jammies thinking about how glad I am to have the holidays over. Five days of visitors and visiting and I'm exhausted, I'm getting too old for this shit lol.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
