  3. Yes, that does look delish @WeegieWoman, I too may just show up!
  4. Kudos to you for getting it down lol. But good job bird
  5. Congratulations @Moonglyn on your second month smoke free! I hope you do something special to celebrate this awesome achievement
  6. Welcome hesteralumni, you can't quit cigs because you're telling yourself you can't. We are all proof that you can quit, you just have to know it too. Smoking is a gnarly addiction no doubt about it but so is meth and you gave that up right? I kept telling myself that all (good?) things must come to an end and it was time for cigs to end too. It wasn't always easy, I smoked for 35 years, but with the help of a support group like you have here it is totally doable. Good on you for taking the first step and signing up. Stick close, read our threads about addiction and maybe even check out the celebrations forum to see all the successful quitters we have here, how's that for motivation?

Be the best that you can be
  9. Wow, that's a lot of food! Sounds delish
  10. Watching a totally trippy movie on FX called Split, but omg so many commercials! The movie says it's three hours long but I swear an hour of it is commercials and behind the scenes info. If it wasn't so good so far I would have changed the channel by now.... Oh and drinking a beer 😋

It's better to give than to receive
  12. Of course it's ok to talk about NRT here. There's no shame in using them to get you past the first few hard days/weeks/months. Just make sure to have a stop plan for them too once you're farther along in your quit. You can do it Michelle, we're all proof of that
  13. A guy walks into a bar and says 'bartender, give me seven shots of your best whiskey'. The bartender pours the shots and says 'what's the occasion' The guy says 'I'm celebrating my first blow job' The bartender replies 'in that case let me buy you one more' And the guy says 'no thanks, seven should be enough to get the taste out of my mouth'! 🤣
  14. Whatever my ticker in my signature says, it's too early for math lol
  15. Omg @notsmokinjo, I could not do that for one more day 😞 I hope you're home now.....

  17. Lmao, I've never heard that saying before 😄😄😄
  18. I have to admit I do watch a few reality shows, maybe because that's all tv's turning into?

Birds of a feather flock together
  20. Just found out that Life in Pieces series finale is tonight after only four seasons 😞 Grrr, all my good shows are either getting frucking cancelled or moved to Netflix 😭
  21. Yea smoking in any establishment here, except the Indian casinos, has been banned for years. I thought I would hate not being able to smoke in bars when it first took effect but I was surprisingly glad they did. I never was one to smoke in restaurants so I was really happy to see that banned

    There's no place like home
  23. jillar replied to beazel's topic in Games
Home is where the heart is
  24. I didn't have a plan because I didn't know I should have one but I knew I needed to quit so I prepared by not smoking in the areas I smoked in. That enabled me to disassociate those places with smoking and as a result I could go into those areas and not crave a smoke. Your friend is lucky to have you to get clues from. I would also recommend telling them about us so we can help support them

Do I stay or do I go?
