  13. They got my info because years ago they had a promotion called Marlboro miles. You saved up your miles and then bought things with them from their catalog. You had to fill out the order form complete with DOB to prove you were 18. I bought a Marlboro backpack, duffle bag, mini binoculars and a few other things with my miles. Since there was no internet back then it was all done through snail mail and I've been receiving things from them ever since.

@MLMR, I'm really glad to read your last post and see how well you're doing now. I don't know if you know just how much this thread of yours can help others who think they can't quit because of their depression or anxiety. You are proof that they can Maybe, you can think about moving this thread back to the main board for others who are on the fence about quitting?

I'm so glad you didn't give up today @Solo. You would have been so bummed to give up all those smoke free days. Might I suggest making a ticker for your signature? It was a huge inspiration for me to log on everyday and see just how much time, money and cigs not smoked add up. And also showed me what I was giving up if i caved to a crave
  18. Unfortunately you're probably right about the big one coming. Those are the scary ones...:(

All a bunch of smoke and mirrors
  20. It was kinda exciting @Linda Thomas. We rarely feel them here on the central coast. And it definitely won't be the last of it. If you Google California earthquakes you'll see we have 100's everyday but they're usually really small and don't do much if any, damage.
  21. There was damage but work crews are on scene... Yes, that's the one that had my blinds and porch swing moving last night. It moved a planter pot in the bottom of my pond about 8 inches from where it was too!

I put all my cards on the table
  23. That's so odd because I got something from Marlboro too today. Two coupons for $1.50 off a pack of cigarettes! I use to get those things all the time in the mail for $5.00 off a carton and I hadn't gotten one since my birthday in March! You would think they would have figured out that I hadn't used a Marlboro coupon in over three years and stop sending me those things
