  2. Yes the demon spawn confessed to me tonight... was going to NOPE about it tomorrow.... little treasure didn't like the meal options offered on Tuesday so told me it was Pancake Tuesday and I just ran with it.... way too many balls in the air at the moment to even look at a calendar and check and have missed mass for the last few weeks..... I was going to claim that Australia really is in the future.... a whole month!!.... sorry for anyone I stressed.
  3. He's so tight he'd have blue balls in a brothel.
  4. I'm having a ball.
  5. Congratulations @Sparky for being 2 months smoke free. Well done Sparky. Make sure you do something to reward yourself for being 2 months smoke free and pop in to let us know how you celebrated.
  6. Congratulations @Jayhawk for being 7 months smoke free. Well done, and Hugh Millen can just move over, its seems the Pats have a new star wearing a 7. 9. Morning NOPErs...to day is Ash Wednesday... The day of atonement and the beginning of Lent. So here is a suggestion for all the Christians out there, it's Lent boys and girls, why not give up the smokes for Lent?....it's 40 days which will see you through your first month anniversary.. and you will have all of us here to support you on your way...use you faith to help you give yourself the greatest gift you ever will. So for those of you not in the know today is supposed to be fast day, now speaking from the Catholic perspective, that means a fish day... So considering most of you lot are in the middle of winter maybe a nice Mornay will be the ticket. Have you ever wondered where the ashes come from they are made by burning the palm fronds that were blessed and used in the previous years Palm Sunday service. NOPE.... Never, ever, forever
  10. Greetings NOPErs... today is Shrove Tuesday, or as most Aussies call it Pancake Tuesday.... then there are those who call it Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras.... basically it is one of the best days of the year because you can eat pancakes all day and get a pass because its for religious reasons. You can even have a two course meal that is just pancakes... like we did...our day went, corn pancakes for breaky (with bacon on the side), then normal lunch.... well cept the kid who goes to catholic school so they had pancakes put on by the senior home ec kids.... then for dinner we had Boxty (irish potato pancakes) with sausages and greens and then Crepe Suzette for afters.... its has been a flippin' awesome day. So eat up boys and girls, gorge on all that yummy food before lent begins tomorrow. NOPE... no flippin' way!

  12. Congratulations @Andy75 for being 2 years smoke free. Well done on having two full years quit. We would love to hear how you are going and how wonderful it is to be 2 years free.
  13. I am a junky... and a superstitious one at that...I seem to bounce from one addiction to another... so when I first joined QSMB I did not nope... ever.... there was no way I could pledge NOPE... not one puff ever... I mean I wasn't sure if I was going to last another day let alone forever.... how could I pledge I would take not one puff ever... I think I typed a nope for about 3 weeks before I actually posted one.. and then someone said... I pledge NOPE for today... and I thought, hey I can do that... I can make that pledge... and pretty quick I needed to make that pledge, and I needed to like everyones NOPE ... to acknowledge their pledge had been seen, to let them know they weren't alone... and then my NOPES got bigger and more elaborate and it became so I had to nope that way... It had to be a statement... or it was bad luck, or I would have a tough quit day... and then I became obsessed with it and then some people expressed the fact they didn't like my NOPEs and I became paranoid and the hour it took to prepare them became an hour and a half or two hours because I would panic something I wanted to type would be taken the wrong way or be construed as racism or a million other things it wasn't and offend someone ... it became my new addiction something I had to do or my skin crawled but something that was damaging me to do so I had to break that habit... so now I Nope occasionally... because when it got to the point I was spending an hour a day researching a preparing a NOPE and getting anxiety if I couldn't get it just right I needed to step back. I still say each morning... NOPE I will not smoke today... and finish each day with NOPE, today I did not smoke... I just can't "NOPE" every day because I have issues.

  16. I'm going around the twist.
  17. try responding with "Oh baby, ... I do life"... need to harness your inner sass and drip it with condescension.... but shuts up the dip shits who think not doing "anything" is somehow not normal or inferior.... another option is "Been there, done that, not worth the time, money or hassle".
  18. Love it when some gets themselves an awesome reward... Well done mate.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
