Emphysema.....it distroys your lungs slowly over the years.....no cure..... As most of you know here....my hubby has to spend 16 hours a day on oxygen..... He spends many a time in hospital.chest infections,pheumonia..... This brought on by smoking..... If anyone reads this who is sitting on the fence..... Come and join us on the quit train..... You can do it.....we have.....

Wow marti, I always find it amazing when you look at our tickers and actually see it written there.....how many cigs were have not smoked... It's always a good reason to shout out..... Well done Hugs

I did buy her the full,session of Allen Carr clinic.....5 DVD,s.....About 9 months back.... She hasn't even taken the wrapper off.... She does say ,she is proud of me.....but that's as far as it goes.... Maybe one day...... Hugs

Oooo yes please....I'm all ears.....

My friend and I went shopping together.... When we had paid for the goods,she pointed out to me how expensive it was to eat these days.... Of course I agreed.... Then she went to the cig counter and gave them happily another 20 pound note for just 2 packets ,that would only last the weekend.... I was just so happy I didn't have to do that anymore.....I walked out with a proud smile on my face...

I think n.o.p.e is a personal thing......no right ....no wrong...... For me.....it's a promise I make to myself every day..... At the beginning of my quit.....it was that promise they kept me going...... By letting all my non smoking peeps see I promised.......I couldn't let them down either..... It's worked for me.......and still does...... Hugs xx

Hi , I smoked five decades......it is possible..... With the help of all the great folks here I have finally achieved my quit..... It's actually been fun.... One big happy family here......xx
