  1. Welcome to the quit train Mike I have also found a recent rough patch due to just life sh*t! We get by that stuff if we really want to and certainly doing that is much better and easier than starting over again. I'm going to do what I need to in order to stay quit. You are welcome to join me if you like?
  2. Rumors that I started smoking again is simply Fake News!! Nope!
  3. ^^^^ Wise words these! People who come here for support themselves often don't realize how they end up supporting others even in their early days. Once you have realized that your initial fears about quitting were unfounded and you begin to embrace the process, it becomes so much easier to achieve your goal. You are well on your way already L

  16. I just got done removing 12 full sections of wooden fencing from the back yard and cleaned up a huge pile of shingles off the lawn (lost 1/2 my roof shingles right down to the bare wood). We had a big wind storm today and the damage in the area is something I have never seen before! I would say 85% of homes have some degree of damage. Guess what I'm doing this weekend?!!
  17. -6 Oh my!
  18. I call this ................. Saturday Night ?
  19. Mine was about like what you describe Saz! It was by far and away the most debilitating and longest lasting quit symptom I experienced. I felt pretty much useless for a month or more ?

  21. I'm glad you found your way through that dark time Sunny! It is certainly overwhelming at times for most of us particularly in those early days. I don't know if you noticed but there is also a "Pre Respond to your Own SOS" thread on that page that you can utilize as a help tool too. You can post up a meaningful message to yourself that you can read if you're feeling weak at some point. Hope your having a better day today

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
