- Never Have I Ever....
I would be willing to bet that a lot of British men were disappointed when they saw that movie. They were hoping to see some nice birds (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) and instead just got a bunch of angry avian creatures terrorizing people.- Steve63 is 6 months smoke free today!
- Corona Virus... the great global pandemic
I'm getting accustomed to using food in place of currency. We can make a deal. You can have Bakon if you want him. We don't even want anything in return...just take him.- Corona Virus... the great global pandemic
We've developed a food-based barter economy in my community. It's not a highly organized effort, but it is working out. I have an abundance of meats and access to a good supply of milk and eggs. Other folks have an abundance of fruits and vegetables be they fresh, frozen, or canned. Folks leave a cooler on the porch, a call is made, and we swap out one food item for another. One of our neighbors down the road has been keeping herself busy during all this by making various cakes and pies. She made us a red velvet cake over the weekend (absolutely delicious by the way) and for compensation I gave her a slab of bacon. And if you're saying to yourself: Hey Boo, aren't you the exercise and healthy eating guy, what are you doing gorging yourself with red velvet cake? Look...I never said I was perfect. Leave me alone! If there's an upside to this situation, it may very well be that we start talking to members of our immediate community again. In a system where supply chains are fragile and so-called leaders prove themselves useless time-and-again, now is a good time to look closer to home for a support system.- 4 weeks smoke free!
Congratulations on four weeks of freedom Amierouge. There are things you can control and things you cannot control. You have little to no control over what they do. You have complete control over how you respond. You've made a commitment to yourself. You are having great success with that commitment. Be relentless with that commitment and stay the course that you have set for yourself. You are on a mission and someone on a mission is a force to be reckoned with.- AK is done with Hell Week !!!!
A temporary transition period for permanent benefits is a great trade. Good job.- Hello, New to forum
Welcome aboard the Quit Train Rene. Good call on giving up the smokes. Education about the realities of nicotine addiction allow us to replace the myths and lies we chose to believe with the truth. And the truth will set you free. Enjoy the ride.- Lock-down In A Lock-down
Note to self: don't let your child run around unattended when the machetes start flying. The guy in the background at 0:26 corralled that kid pretty quickly, but still...that was too close for comfort.- Soddin Lazyville fun !!!
Finally got back out in the woods today. Tennessee State Parks reopened yesterday. Got a little overzealous this morning and showed up before the gates were opened. Got in 10.8 miles of hiking and spent a good bit of time just taking it all in. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder...I've never appreciated the opportunity to spend a day in the woods more than I did today. It's good to be back...- Which version is the best for you?

You just know that Gene Simmons is going to claim he invented that. Call it the "KISS My Ass" and cut the man a check.- Post a Song you Like

Handling my meat. Stop giggling...bunch of perverts! Made a trip down to the friendly neighborhood butcher and bought enough to refill both freezers. We got beef. We got pork. We got chicken. We got turkey. And with Doreen in mind, we've got sausages! Now for the hard decision of figuring out what to grill first.- What are you doing right now
Look on the bright side, Canadian Summer is right around the corner now.- Two Months
Congratulations on two months of freedom Kate. The hours have turned to days. The days have turned to weeks. The weeks have turned to months. Quitting gets easier with time. You've got this.- Cravings during unguarded moments--like now
The cravings will come and go for a while. We spent years feeding our addiction and conditioning ourselves with cigarettes. It takes a little time to rewire the system and acclimate to being a non-smoker. Be patient with the process and you will get there.- Day 4; so far so OK

Take up an instrument they said. It is relaxing they said...- Quit
The early days of a quit present some trying moments. Times when your commitment is challenged. Passing those tests is where the rubber meets the road. You passed the test and came through with your quit intact. Congratulations, you are building a rock-solid quit for yourself.- Boo's New Dad Tips!
I already have that conversation everyday with Cash, my black lab. "Don't give me the sad eyes, you've been eating all day."- Still going

I was firmly anti-rodent. Now, I'm on the fence about rodents. I watched a video about capybaras, a large South American rodent, and they may very well be the friendliest animals on the planet. Here's a capybara hanging out with a dog... Here's a capybara hugging a cat... The capybara is so damn chill, they even hang out with alligators... - Post a Song you Like
