  10. I remember your name. Long ago quit. Glad you found your way back. Time to quit licking windows and finish it. We aren’t meant to come back to it after learning and earning our way out. Keep it up and don’t be a dumbass again.

  12. Always liked her dirty name, at least to me it meant something dirty.(if you spell it Jiller and make it a verb) I know she had a LOT of patience for the group. Really she was the moderator who put it out there. But maybe I got the name wrong. sad to see anyone leave especially an old friend. Even when they end up in a better place we hate change, resistance is not an option with death but we don’t have to like it. really can’t say I know much about her.Big ears and teeth from her picture. Or again maybe the rabbit was her favorite toy. Either way let’s assume she was cuddling and felt good as she was good to have responded to anything posted. so here is my poem copied from Google- think it fits here for this group as her writing with still be with us Don't cry for me now I have died, for I'm still here I'm by your side, My body's gone but my soul is here, please don't shed another tear, I am still here I'm all around, only my body lies in the ground.

  13. Six weeks tonight, friends. Thanks Doreen, Reci, DB, garry, and all before, I appreciate your words of wisdom and empathy. I'm going through some serious f-ing Trials right now, and despite it I am keeping that demon-bitch Nicotine at arm's length. Believe it. I've been 10 years quit, boys. I know how it feels to be free. I've said to myself, "you've made it, dude. You've been a non-smoker for so long you could never dream of going back." Yet I willingly jumped back into that pit. Thank God I've lived six weeks free from nicotine. One less burden to bear. Stay strong, my friends.

  14. Realized it was my anniversary, and thought I’d say Hi. 4 years smoke free. Occasionally, I think about smoking, but never seriously consider lighting up. This is my 2nd try at quitting. I had stopped for about 8 years and a bad romance had me lighting up after that long. So, we are never really safe, or cured, just recovering, like any addict. I remain passionate about my hobbies, and I’ve been shooting hoops. CC, who literally shares my name has inspired me. I’ve become pretty accurate from 20 feet. That’s impressive for an old lady. My husband and I put together a nice set up in the driveway, which is oversized. He gives me advice and we both mess around for fun and exercise. We are avid Fever Fans. Hope everyone is sticking with the program. Just wanted to say, “Hey!” Kat

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
