  1. I'm with the worm... it's a NOPE from me.
  2. G’day NOPE .....Not One Puff Ever.... (replace Ever with Min,Hour, Day as required rain means the gum trees bloom
  3. Congratulations on two months quit @intoxicated yoda, that is fantastic! It's awesome that you're so active here, that's how successful quits are made 😊
  4. Thanks everyone. Really awesome to have the support from folks that have years of "quit experience".

We were getting a little worried. Found the perfect Halloween costume for Maddie, but the shipping was delayed. Got a call from Sugar Britches this afternoon...the FedEx driver came through in the nick of time. Miss Maddie is the cutest little penguin in the world. She doesn't care much for the little webbed feet that came with the costume, but other than that she seems quite content in her "Gwen" costume. Got a busy weekend filled with tricks, treats, cornfield mazes, and hayrides scheduled.
  6. You win the war....by winning your battles ..... I used to visualize me and that Nico Monster in a duel....and when I conquered that crave I won ... Your battles will get fewer ...and easier to win ...you just have to keep going ... It's ok to Wobble....just make sure you don't fall over ... It takes time to unscramble a mind that,s been poisoned for decades.... Be kind to yourself ....this is why rewards are so important.... You are amazing ...never forget that ...🐸
  7. NOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Waiting on the apple cupcakes to cool so I can fill them with dulche de leche, dip in melted butter, then Cinnamon sugar and contemplating uf they need some cream cheese icing too? Wednesday meeting day and my turn to do the snacks.... been up since sparrow's baking bickies and chopping fricken carrot, celery and capsicum sticks to go with last night's humus that I made and me good ol French onion dip. Hopefully the fruckers are too busy stuffing their faces to talk much and we can get outta there quick.
  9. Woke up to my cat on my bed licking her butt and making "flicking" motions. Figured she was just getting a dingle ball cleaned up and proceeded to get up while trying not to disturb her majesty. Went to pick up the remote she knocked off the nightstand while she was getting on my bed. She can't just jump up on the bed like a normal pet, oh no, miss Tiki has to jump on the nightstand and maneuver between the items to walk gingerly across to the bed. Well imagine my complete disgust when I pick up the remote and look to see that frucking dingle ball now stuck to my finger! What a way to start my day😫😄
  10. Good work Intoxicated Yoda. Congratulations.
  11. I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is only one question that matters when quitting: Did I smoke today? If you answered "no," you're good to go. If you answered "yes," you screwed it up and need to start over.
  12. Huge Congratulations @intoxicated yoda..... We are all very proud and happy for you ....already you are a big part of the board ...and will be helping all the quitters who will follow you ... Keep going ....
  13. G’day NOPE .....Not One Puff Ever.... (replace Ever with Min,Hour, Day as required random
  14. @jillar i don't know what's more hilarious...that picture in relation to the conversation or the fact that picture even exists. I'll put that one in my tool bag cuz it cracks me up. 😂
  15. @notsmokinjoglad to hear you are living the dream. I find that encouraging because that is my catch phrase. Anyone I meet in the real world says hi how are you doing? My reply is always the same. I'm living the dream. And I really am. It's just those damn cravings come along and piss on my sunshine on a daily basis. But seeing folks like you and jillar and the other people here that have gotten to the part where it's easier definitely helps keep me on track. and you are right...i didn't smoke, we still winning over here. Thanks Jo
  16. Here's a visualization if you need it @intoxicated yoda.....
  17. now you can sing along and get your cardio in.
  18. Huge congratulations to you, Yoda! The first two months of a quit are the hardest and if you can go two months, you can go forever -- which is a good thing since your sort seems to have a very long lifespan. Good job!
  19. Congratulations Yoda. You are doing this. Keep up the awesome work in your quit.
  20. It's Ok...your amongst friends here ....🐸
  21. It gets easier, every day, just doesn't seem it at the time. The thing is we aren't bullshitting about it, cos if we were it's not like you wouldn't work it out eventually...it's all true, it gets easier, it becomes not even a passing thought....how do I know, because I'm living the dream. So here's my take, nicotine reprograms your brain, for fricking years, your conscience knows you have quit, you intelligence is screaming we made the decision why are we still craving this crap....but those nicotine receptors in your brain took a long time to get wired....you have to give them a bit of time to get rewired...until then they will from time to time rear their ugly head and manipulate your thinking and emotions to get the hit they need. But it gets easier.... those shit times get further and further apart until voila....no more smoking thoughts... And thing is you will stop one day and think, I can't remember the last time I thought hmm I'd really like a gasper. Did you smoke, NOPE, so don't be so hard on yourself, you're not wading through a river of shit, you're holding your head high in victory while you sit on the beach at Zihuatanejo.
  22. That's about it... although I'm driving the keyboard to schedule the repos. Naughty people wanna hire the dunnies but don't wanna pay the bills....they a get a warning or 2...then we come take the dunny back, and hope there's noone still in it.
  23. Sorry you had a sucky day of cravings @intoxicated yoda, my first months were just as hard but I held on to the words of all those who went before me and told me it wouldn't be like that forever and they were right😊 That nicodemon is trying everything it can to win you back because it knows you're not backing down to it! You got this and tomorrow you're two months free so you really need to treat yourself to something just for you because you deserve it 😊
  24. I actually kind of like this song....i don't want to like it but it's a catchy tune
  25. Congratulations on 5 years free!!
  26. Congrats on your fabulous 5 and all the rest to come, L4L!!!
