Will is den brother come hunting revenge?

we are supposed to call the ranger to come get ours cos they are protected but dad was always pretty handy with a shovel... not many copperheads in my area, we have heaps of tigers, Browns and blacks though.

one of our train stations has lots of grass lands around it.. nothing better on a stinking hot night to get of ya train to a sign that says “watch for snakes in car park, mowing done today”..

Yep.  That's why I'm always a bit leery around rotted tree stumps and hollow logs.

You just answered your own question.  The shovel is the internationally accepted standard for snake killing tools.  Whack, chop, done.  And I used the same shovel to give him a proper burial.  Used the same technique as swinging a baseball bat to chuck him out into the woods.

My guns were in the house.  The shovel was right there.

You use what you have available.

I wear snake boots and carry a S&W Governor. But a shovel will do.

F***ing copperheads.  Vicious bastards.

Hiding behind my garbage bin...scared the shit out of me.

One struck me behind an ankle. Not a good experience.

If you're one of those animal rights types...now would be an appropriate time to have a moment of silence for that particular snake.

I got silent for a moment but could not contain my laughter when I imagined You with the trash can smashing the hell out of the thing while saying things like, "You gosh darn friggin little bugger!" Or maybe the "R" rated version of that.

There are some dogs next door...

See you really are Lucky @Joe7 ... aussie copperheads are from the same family as King Cobras and Black Mambos only more venemous... they come number 11 in the world this is the kind we can find in our suburban back yard:

They have had a fair share of massive spiders...in thier shoes...behind the toilet ..in the bedroom curtains...

Doreen wasn't a happy bunny...took me half a hour checking the bedroom ,before I went to bed...

It was fun watching my big strapping son scream  and run ..he's more scared of them than me...hilerious.!!!

They probably just Huntsmen... we keep them as pets, because the keep the fly and mozzie numbers down... (year right, I see anything sporting 8 legs and the hole in the ozone layer grows as I spray it out of existence.

At least snakes mostly keep to themselves.

Unlike the stupid "bully" breeds of dogs that Americans think are cool to own. Compensation I suppose.

I tell people this though - us humans are the most dangerous and vicious animal there is. Try not to forget that when it comes to dealing with other forms of life.

Jo hates arachnids. Common fear. But unless it is something dangerous, they are just ugly. MY most hated creature are wasps/hornets. At least spiders do not fly around.

To paraphrase the movie Jaws: "We're gonna need a bigger shovel."

This vicious Canadian man-eater almost did me in last summer until ............... the cat ate him ?

Well!!!.if your talking about what I hate the most... MAGGOTS...I think I would rather have fought Boos snake ...that go anywhere near them

They make me sick !!!!

They definitely win the contest for "grossest pests".

Snakes though - at least they look pretty cool. Much like other life forms that are ok to look at but not mess with, like maybe bears.

Wasps and hornets are hated more because they can actually cause immediate pain.

Why would you microwave fish?  In the workplace? After lunch was over?  Excuse me, I meant over microwave fish After lunch was over.  In other words, why do it when nobody can escape the nasty fumes?  Eat the fish cold  or not at all inconsiderate ******!

Colleen, there is a mature way of handling that situation. You don't go calling them inconsiderate (whatevers).

Anyone with ANY grown-up manners knows you simply walk in and say, "Bejesus Chrimeney, this lunch room smells like a trash can full of used tampons!"

That is the polite way of letting someone know their lunch is stanking up the place.

The other day I saw a garter snake in my window well outside, ignore it as it wasn't bothering anything until I heard the screams....did you know frogs can scream? It had caught a small frog...couldnt handle that noise so interfered with the circle of life...I saved the frog and helped it escape by hitting the snake with a stick until it let it go....frog got away. The snake was pissed....than the snake came out of the window well later and duke tried to kill it and shook it and I saved the snake from the dog....

that snake had a hell of a day. First, some human took away his lunch, THEN some canine tried to kill him.
