August 15, 20179 yr Identity politics and other forms of collectivist bullshit. What happened to the concept of individualism here in America? There was a time when it was at the core of who we were. Now everyone is expected to check off a few demographic markers and then blindly adhere to the dogma of whatever group it is you belong to. That's a surefire recipe for losing any sense of personal identity and becoming miserable in the process. And the miserable predictably become militant. That's where we are now. The authoritarians from the right fighting the authoritarians from the left and the rest of us are being told we have to take a side. Forget that. I'm firmly on the side of minding my own damn business and leaving others to do as they please so long as they're not violating the rights of others. People like me don't do violent political rallies and I refuse to take the bait of getting pulled into the nonsense. Mindless temper tantrums do not take on more importance simply because they become a group effort.

Alcohol and nicotine is less harmful than Cannabis, just because it’s legal. Walmart employees. Using food stamps at the grocery store and then stopping at the liquor store on the way home. February 8, 20188 yr The fact that bosses at work sometimes complain no matter what. When people hate their jobs, it isn't the work they hate, it is listening to the BS. Kind of like the other day our team's supervisor held a meeting to tell us we are wasting too much time. That is about as ironic as a hipster in a mainstream restaurant listening to top 40 on an android phone.
