Our Progress

Hi guys, just thought it would be nice to have somewhere private(ish) to note down how we are doing, what's going on in our world, how baby is etc. Feel free to write here too, as it's nice to share these things with you all :)

So we are just over 25 weeks, so less than 15 to go now until D-Day (what I am calling due date)... And if this little baby is anything like his/her Dad, they will arrive on the exact day, and labour will only last 1.5 hours, but of course we are not quite that optimistic..!

The nursery is almost painted, and we will be getting new carpet fitted after that. We have chosen the furniture, but just keeping an eye on it at the moment to see if it goes on 'sale' asits quite expensive. We already have the Pram and Car Seat as these were a gift from Tasha's Dad. We picked up a really nice Victorian Elm rocking chair last week, and ordered a nice baby monitor today.

Tasha is getting big now, but she is feeling well. We will be visiting the midwife again tomorrow and are looking at writing our 'birthplan' at the moment.

We have kept a diary which we fill in every week, and taking a photo each Monday too, so in the end we can see the evolution of bump.

We still really have no idea if it is a boy or a girl, so we have been having fun with choosing same names, and I think we have settled on 3 preferred names per sex (but this will probably change again, I'm sure). Not sure what family will think of them though. There have been a large number which we could not agree on, so these have been 'shelved' for now. If you want to make some suggestions, please feel free. Little Action would be good, but I don't think Tasha would go for that...!

Bakon works either sex

You never work Porky.

Nice update Ross! :D

Love this update!!!

I always like the crystal type names, Sapphire/Amber/Jade etc. Ended up traditional though. You will hear a name and it will speak to you. Or you will meet him/her and just know.

Tasha looks amazing, it's tough work growing a baby :)  Making me well up! Love babies and love happy endings...this is just a win all round.

Have fun writing that birth plan, you guys can laugh at it when the baby is here and the plan went out the window when labor starts! Haha!

Thanks for all of the good-wishes, gender-guesses and name suggestions everyone! :)

We went for a midwife appointment today, and everything is OK. We heard the heartbeat again, too :D

For names, we certainly won't be going for anything traditional, and to be honest, the less-popular and more obscure the name, the better. Although I have already ruled out Ichabod, to Tasha's annoyance ;)

In which case my friend combined names and made whole new ones from friends and family they liked, I thought that was a pretty great and original idea. They have daughters named Coren and Caris but maybe you could pick out some of your influencial people and muck around with some letters from their names??

or Marti is nice ;)

Oh my gosh!  Your baby momma looks awesome!  So excited for the both of you.  Not long to go now at all!!
