Accept other's help and put them to work - washing the dishes, run a load of laundry, scrub the floors, run errands, etc.

Is that an offer?

Tasha's last day at work...

Delivery tip, take sugary drinks like lucozade or whatever tasha likes. Also take enough for you.  It's physically tough going delivering a baby. No harm in getting a meal in in the proper early stages of labour either. It does tend to go on a bit and it helps to have the strength of a good meal (contractions are usually sporadic but ya know, if they are coming two mins apart or something best eat quick lol).

From 35 weeks Tasha can drink raspberry leaf tea. It doesn't bring on labour but supposedly means you dilate quicker once you do start. Seems to work in my experience and doesn't taste too bad either.

Ignore any advice to drink castor oil!

Doreens points 1 and 2, yep :)  Nappies yes and faking sleep no.

Actually you should start a seperate top tips thread :)

EEEKKKKKK, not long now, less then a month till D Day!!

Tip no 3....get to lie in...these last few week ends...this will be a thing of the past...

Hugs xx

Let the true nesting begin :) .  Such an exciting time in one's life.

Cheers Joe, I think she could be early as well...

We had 36 week appointment with midwife and she said the babies head was 'fully engaged', and the baby is sitting really low now. Everything else was spot-on, so we have been referred to the low-risk birthing unit... Apparently it's move like a hotel than a hospital... And we get a private room for the duration of our stay :good:

Forgot to say, 1 of the girls from our anti-natal classes gave birth of Wednesday, and we are pretty sure that another went into labour last night... Yikes!

Thanks mammy :)

Just got confirmation that there was another baby born last night, another girl. That means 2 girls born so far, with the other two couples expecting a boy and a girl respectively. The question is, will our baby make it 4 girls out of 5, or will it make up the numbers on the boys side?!
