May 20, 201511 yr My twin, Mary, is currently in surgery. As most of you know, she is battling breast cancer. Today is double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. Prayers are greatly appreciated!

This just in from my brother in law: The plastic surgeon just came out and said the procedure went perfectly. She's in recovery and will be for about an hour or so. I can't go back and have to wait until she's in her room. I'll let you know when she gets there. Dave

May 20, 201511 yr Author Thank you, everyone...here is the latest from Mary's husband... We're in the room now and Mary is sleeping. Good drugs she's getting.Her general surgeon came by and reiterated that everything went well.Unless I get other news I'll talk to you tomorrow.Dave

I can only imagine you are climbing the walls lovely friend so please know my love and strength is with you too. Sisters, it's such a powerful bond that I know Mary will be drawing strength from you so please know I am supporting you from where I am. All my love to my favourite mum. xx

May 21, 201511 yr Author Thank you all so very much! Your thoughts and prayers mean the world to me. Below are the latest updates... From her husband: Saw Dr Schnieder while we were strolling in the hall about 7:15 and he discharged Mary. We're going to get outta here around 11:00. Dave From our Mom: She just called sounded great--They were well on their way to the beach-- I just find it so hard to believe you can undergo a double mastectomy and reconstruction and leave the hospital a little over 24 hours later. Amazing. Thanks again, everyone...I am leaving tomorrow morning to spend the weekend with Mom and Dad, so I may not be around, much. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
