September 4, 201411 yr And yes, some do smoke for 50 years. But I can also tell you that NO ONE gets away with it unscathed. The time will come. For some, it comes sooner, and for others, later. But you are changing the family abuse. Right now. You are teaching your unborn children that they can live free from this. You are changing your whole family for generations to come. Think about it. Your dad taught you, someone taught him and you are stopping the insanity of it all now.
September 4, 201411 yr Author Yes, that's a nice thought... Antidepressants? Wow. What were we smoking? Why do we (at least me) thought it was tobacco?
September 4, 201411 yr Have you read the thread "do you know what your smoking ?" I will see if I can find the link for you. It's pretty scary. ha ha, you found it
September 4, 201411 yr Author That's a very giving work. I bet it's very fulfilling. Thanks so much Tiffany! I feel better, I'll try to sleep. Really, you were a liifesaver, thanks
September 4, 201411 yr We always "kinda" read there were other componants in cigs, but never bought into how awful they are. How addictive it is. Read the pinned posts at the top of the quit smoking forum, one is about what's in a cig. Has the crave passed again now. x
September 4, 201411 yr can I make one more suggestion ? When you go to bed tonight, do something different. LIke maybe have a glass of juice or sleep with a different pillow. But break your routine. Just a little bit.
September 4, 201411 yr Your doing good Natalie. I'm so freaking proud of you. You need to pat yourself on the back. Good night and sweet dreams.
September 4, 201411 yr Nat I'm assuming that you are asleep now... Hopefully having sweet dreams. Tomorrow will be better, and if not, I'm around for the next 15 or so hours, lol (((Natalie))) PS Tiff, you are amazing.

September 4, 201411 yr Well done Nat, it will only get better from here, and thank you Tiff, you are great!
September 4, 201411 yr nat - day 2 for you how awesome is that! look how far you have come already in just 1 day you became a non smoker! give yourself a massive pat on the back and go buy something nice for yourself saying to yourself today - im am doing this i am really doing it - because YOU ARE! the first few days are uncomfortable as your body is adjusting to not having all those poisonous chemicals put in it, believe me it looks like a harmless white piece of paper rolled up but all those chemicals playing havoc inside your body is just nasty in disguise your body is adjusting to getting to normal as it should be so it will make you wobbly for a while - this is a GOOD thing not a bad thing but your body will adjust, its a marvelous machine it will get better and stronger each day well done for posting SOS and working it through you are doing really great nat, really great :) well done tiff nice work and great to see you x

September 4, 201411 yr Author Hey, Nat.... pssst.... look at that beautiful ticker of yours... :) Yes!!! I made it though the first day! But (I don´t know if this is normal) I think I feel much more tired, brain fogged and emotional today than yesterday...
September 4, 201411 yr Yes!!! I made it though the first day! But (I don´t know if this is normal) I think I feel much more tired, brain fogged and emotional today than yesterday... This can be normal - everyone is different. The first 72 hours are the ones where the nicotine is still in your system. After that, it will all be mental. Fruit juices and ice cold water for you. And It would probably be a great idea to start yourown blog writing your experiences from day 1 - I never did it, but I wish I had. That way, if you ever have a crave, you can look back and see how hard the first days were, and remind yourself that you never want to go through those days again! Also, it will help to uinspire other newbies. I bet they are reading your story, right now, and are inspired by you!
September 4, 201411 yr Author Note taken: fruit juice and cold water. And yes, the blog idea is really great, it will also keep me busy
September 4, 201411 yr AWESOME ......you will feel different for a bit whilst the chemicals work their way out of your system...its normal and everyone reacts differently to it also. You are doing great :)
