  1. What about replacing a cigarette with a game on your phone. You could get away for a few minutes of you time but be occupied with something other than a smoke.
  2. 0 Did I play this right?
  3. Drink a mojito and go for a swim. My favorite time of day is
  4. Fabulous! Have a wonderful and safe trip!
  5. Thanks everybody! There have been easy times and super hard times filled with grief (it felt like that, anyway) and tears. Don't think I could do it without the support I've found here at QT!
  6. That would have been too traditional for my mom.
  7. I love grey hair, on both men and women! It's still shocking to find it scattered in my own hair though. :)
  8. I love this thread! It's perfect for a newbie like me to get to know all you guys. Not a girlie girl but love to dress up once in a while. Single and comfortable with it (I like myself better single then when in a relationship) Beer? Yes please. Wine? Yes please. Rum? Yes please. You get the idea? Not a real sports fanatic but I do like football/soccer (Barcelona!!) Definitely a dog person. Mine is 16, blind, and deaf but still as awesome as ever! My passion is traveling and volunteering abroad and once I get started talking about it, it's hard to shut me up. See? Already this is the longest sentence I've written. Formerly a telecommunications analyst (sorry, did that put you to sleep?) but am currently unemployed Starting school in a month for a degree in gerontology I'm a non smoker!

    The Last Game

Monday What was the last snack you ate?
  10. My quit is new too so I'm right there with you! Good job!
  11. Tradition, tradition, tradition. Unfortunately, my grandparents are gone and I'm the only one left who loves tradition. God knows what meal my mom will come up with this year. I love my mom but can't we just have turkey and stuffing? :)
  12. Better late then never? A big fat NOPE from me!
  13. I'm home and was smoke free. It was hard though, I was obsessively thinking about cigarettes. Making a mental note of every gas station I passed, wondering how my friends at the smoke shop were doing (a lovely family runs the smoke shop and we've become quite friendly this past year), thinking about how much I want a cigarette but strangely, I didn't feel TOO tempted to stop. As soon as the thought would even begin to trickle into my head, I'd NOPE it away. But the desire was there. It turns out my appointment was double booked so there was no need for me to even go out today but I'm glad I did. It was my first time out since I quit and I made it! I DO feel stronger, though exhausted! Thanks so much for everyone's support! It helps knowing there are people pulling for me, even when I'm out and about. Many times today I thought of all you guys pulling for me and it helped a lot. Thanks again!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
