  19. I thought it was the only thing that got me through the day. Once I realized that the last cigarette was what caused the craving and that smokers smoked to feel like non smokers, things started to click into place more in my head. I sometimes have to remind myself that smoking a cigarette now would do nothing for me. I would have to smoke several in order to get to the point where I would have to smoke to feel like a non smoker again. Which would just be stupid, obviously. It's ok to still have fleeting thoughts, that is a walk in the park compared to a lifetime of slavery and self-destruction that actually smoking again would cause.
  20. Great job MG! It just gets better and better.
  21. Jess you should be over the moon! You are doing what you thought was not possible. This is just the beginning of freedom. It gets better every day until one day, you will realize you cannot fathom the idea of actually smoking again. It's a different life after, and I'm so glad you are doing this for yourself. It's quite honestly, the most important decision you will ever make.
  22. Great job Aine, you have done an amazing job. Kudos to you.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
