That is much prettier than the other. I love roses. Okay, I did what you said and it shows in my signature area. Let me know if you see it with my ticker.

Well I don't see it. I guess you didn't take it away from me after all. I did use to see it at the bottom of my posts.

Well Jillar, I have been a very good girl and my ticker and nice signature disappeared. Can you figure that one?
  5. Hi Hayley, So glad you found us. I also found this site one Google. I had tried everything; patches, cessation clinics and hypnosis. There is something wonderful about this site because it worked for me. It is full of information and so many personal accounts on quitting smoking. Once you get going it is not that bad. It actually is quite rewarding. So excited to help you on this journey.
  6. My husband is helping me with my exercise!
  7. Oh Tammy, I know exactly how you are feeling. I am hurting right now also, and craving. I don't actually think it is the cigarette I am craving. Normalcy to us smokers, was concealing our pain in a cloud of smoke. My cigarette, my friend would always help me through difficult situations. Now that we are so far into our quits, we need to acknowledge that the cigarette actually did nothing to comfort or soothe our heart. It actually does nothing to change the situation. It makes us weaker. It bides or time while life swirls around us and we ignore it. You and I now have people that care about us. They may not be there physically to hold and comfort us but they are there. Encouraging you and others helps me so much. I want to keep going for you. Know that I am praying that your situation does calm down in you life. Each day is a new day. I am her for you. You can message me at any time. Hang in there girl. Love, Llinda
  8. Me too and at this point in my life I feel like "I AM WOMAN". Of course I would not be here without all of you! You can share it because she deserves it too.
  9. Thanks, you know I just love those puppy hugs - so cute.
  10. Well Whispers, you have been holding out on us. You should be in the Babe of the Day section!

  12. @c9jane29 I also smoked during my pregnancies. I understand your guilt. Both my children were extremely low birth weights. So glad you are finally starting to heal.❤️ Yes, I too would love to hear about that wedding. I was hoping for pictures of the beautiful bride and her mom!

Thanks so much for the condolences. I am so fortunate to have found your friendships at this time of my life. It truly helps to have you all to reach out to. Thanks so much for being there.
  14. Oh Jane, I am so grateful your news was good. Quit beating yourself up. I don't know why you blame yourself but I truly believe that God gives us difficulties for reasons. They build our characters and make us stronger, better people. I have only known you for a short time but you are spectacular.
  15. Well I lost my elderly friend this morning. Tough stuff. I so loved this lady and the time I spent with her. There will definitely be a huge void in my life. I will admit that death and smoking is hard. Smoking was a huge part of the very low moments in our life. It is almost automatic to want to reach for that comfort. As a smoker, there are times in our lives that the smoking; not the people gave us the companionship that we needed. This definitely was a test in my quit, but instead of giving in, it helped me realize the connection that I often isolated myself when I was hurting and I smoked to ease the pain of the hurt. I came through okay. I am really experiencing the emotions of the loss and crying! Am posting a picture of my friend and I on her 103rd birthday. She almost made it to her 104th in January!
  16. This is an excellent read and comes at a time that I am noticing my brain reminding me of my routine! It isn't a crave, it is my mind doing what it has been trained to do. So listen up brain, I don't do that anymore!!!!!
  17. Beautiful lake tonight. I think it was that way just for me. Sat and calmed down and ate every one of my whoppers. This beautiful view (Lake Erie) is a few blocks from my street. I don't know why I don't go down and enjoy it more. Thanks guys for jumping in and bringing me to my senses. Two more days and it will be 3 mos. I would have kicked myself if I threw that away!!!!!!!
  18. This will be what it looks like after the whoppers.
  19. @Sazerac he is going to have a cold butt for a while. Mad at him too. Gave him my honey do list with a big ultimatum.
