  1. Oh man do I remember those early days nikki! You are doing great and just think once you get past them you'll never have to go through it again. That in and of itself is a HUGE reward. The insomnia is super normal and won't last forever. Soon you'll be sleeping better than you have in years I actually found taking an otc sleep aid a couple times helped me get some sleep. Love me some bacon and eggs so enjoy yours and I'm so glad that posting got you through your crave
  2. Congratulations on 7 months gabes!
  3. Yea @Phoebe2, that must be hard to watch. I don't remember if you said she quit before her diagnosis or because of her diagnosis. I think that makes a big difference in her being able to stay quit if she quit because and not before. I also remember you telling us how she badly she coughed. I imagine that will be coming back soon enough too ?
  4. 5 months already?! That's awesome CAquitter, congratulations
  5. Hi addictedbassman, I remember you from qsmb. Sorry you're struggling today and so glad you found us. You will love this place just as I have come to. They welcomed us with open arms when qsmb went down and I for one couldn't be happier to be here. I hope you find the same to be true

    A to Z TV Shows

  13. Yes, that's why no one has ever seen an alien Where do Eskimos live in the summer?
  14. Hi Linda, LOVE that great big NOPE you posted, that's how its done! Why not keep your mind busy with something else like filling in your quit date or making a ticker for your signature? The tickers are such a huge motivator that shows us hourly the time and money saved and all the cigs not smoked. It also lets you see what you stand to lose should you cave to a crave. You're doing awesome!
  15. Congratulations wren
  16. Congratulations Kev!
  17. You'll have to speak up, I can barely hear you! If aliens are the superior species why do they want to abduct us?
  18. Here's my almost 12,000!
  19. Yay Linda, congratulations on day 1 done! I KNOW you can make it, just believe in yourself and lean on us as much as you need. We all felt like you when we first quit. Lots of questions about the recovery process led me to my first forum experience. I'm convinced that without the help of former smokers who knew exactly what I was going through, I would not have been successful. We have so much here to help keep your mind off the misery. Whether it's posting, reading, supporting, celebrating or socializing
  20. I remember you telling us this phoebe! It's hard to see someone beat cancer just to go back to smoking when there's so many others who kicked the habit only to succumb to cancer ?
  21. That sucks phoebe! I'm sure I ate plenty enough for both of us though lol

    True or False

False, only because there's too many distractions to enjoy a book. Loved them when I was single though TNP is retired

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
