For those not from Australia today was the AFL (Aussie Rules Football) Grand Final (Premiership Cup/Super bowl) at the MCG (the greatest sport oval and venue on earth) and it was played between a team from Victoria (Richmond Tigers) and a team from NSW (GWS..greater western Sydney giants) in front of a crowd of 100,014 people (well a it were tigers barrackers so people might be a bit generous, I'm sure they were predominantly ferals) ....it was a total cake walk for the Tiges...they won by nearly 100 points.......and as a result the Victorian Police posted this on twitter... Victoria Police✔@VictoriaPolice Victoria Police is currently searching for the GWS Giants after they went missing from the MCG on Saturday afternoon. They were last seen trying to make a #bigbigsound but were instead quaking in their boots. NSW Police Force do you have any leads? Now I'll be listening to this for the next week.... PS...I dunno why after 3 hours of match time, two hours if that spent running around winning football teams sing their club song...dunno if other sports do it (well the Aussie ashes team) but they just do.

Well I did have a lovely birthday if some what odd....it went like this...woke up to well wishes on here, had no work because it was a public holiday....had brunch with the kid bought myself some DVDs, at 6pm get a call from me little brother who has just driven 6.5 hours because his daughter has a dance comp this weekend and they left her costume at home....so fly around to the fabric shop before it closes at 7pm, grab stuff, fly to me parental's and make her a costume...at midnight me brother comes out (cos they are all in bed) and says "happy birthday" and I say thanks it was yesterday.

Post what you want as often as you want....now cos you're knew and I've been awol you may not know that I had a big quit that I threw away years ago.....and then I have this quit, heading into 2 years ... This is what I know.... 1. Big quit, I craved all day every day and spent over 6 years trying to find "an acceptable" reason to smoke....I never got passed the craving...but that's because I never stopped romancing the ciggies and giving them power. 2. I got educated about how nicotine addiction works.... But most importantly I stopped looking for justifications to smoke...and the cravings went away...not over night or in a few weeks but I don't get those cravings anymore, sure sometimes I'll get these whispered ghosts of a memory flicker through that hey wouldn't a smoke now be nice and immediately I laugh because nope I don't want one. I've got decades of programming to re-write but glitch by glitch it's getting there. Sure some day 30 years down the track a whisper might race across my mind and my gut response is Gunna be "yeah-NAH, I'm the one in control not some remnant nicotine receptor".

This is my happy place, I love it's freedom, the real friendships I have made and the lessons I have learnt. I'm just glad you mob didn't kick my fat arse off at the first stop 😆

Sitting on a smoke free balcony (it's illegal in my state to have smoking in outdoor eating areas) listening to all the birds whole I wait for lunch ..... You'd never think I was only 38km (23.6miles) fro. The heart of the 2nd biggest city in Australia.

Oh I hear you @mrsguest..... Our curl is about the same as yours but my hair is also fairy floss (cotton candy) thin so my frizz gets outa this world. I never even bother trying to straighten it because even with no humidity within hours that kink is creeping back. Short is easy, wash, rub in some product and wear.. but long I can tie it back...so hard.

I remember early on walking a couple of blocks past my train station because I was ghosting someone who was smoking and I was having a moment 2nd hand smoking....and like @jillar said at times I do still like that fresh tobacco smell, it just doesn't tempt me....I like the smell of petrol too, doesn't mean I'm Gunna go sniffin it or drink it. I also get the feeling of others not taking your quit seriously because you loved smoking ... I did too, until I didn't.... I'm still dealing with people in my life doubting my quit....but I see that as a challenge, love to prove them wrong.

Oh....hmmmm...is crew different to the cook?.....oh this is a very sneaky mixed basket.....the locations could be wrong .. oh....um... I'm Gunna say that the boat wasn't a Hinkley.

Saz is the winner... On my birthday we are having a public holiday and there will be a parade through the centre of Melbourne all for grand final eve....but the actual major sporting event is the day after.

I don't remember ciggie ads on the telly but I do remember billboards and magazine ads. The one day cricket series used to be called the Benson and hedges but it got renamed and racing cars used to be sponsored by tobacco companies but not down here since I was a kid.

Oh @Boo you so have to...it is outa this world....most amazing sensation if you go deep....you will Iove it. I've done cave dives but I don't handle the enclosed space and burn through the gas but my bro and his wife go for hours....but open water, coral, fish....it's amazing and humbling.

It's only 2 hours in flu season if you walk in without an appointment...make an appointment you wait 20mins tops. But waiting is normal at any clinic....here...my suburb of Melbourne (I'd I'm on the fringe between suburbs and farms) has a bigger population than Hobart.
