  1. Welcome aboard MwBenson, glad to have you along on this journey. 30 days with no smokes is awesome, congrats on that. NRT has helped many people quit, to me whatever helps you quit and stay quit is good. Come here often and remember to do the daily NOPE, it really helps!!

  3. Kdad welcome aboard, glad to have you along on this journey. Many people here will help you along the way (though at times it seems to get a bit weird but you will get use to it). Plenty here to learn but pledging NOPE every day really does help!!
  4. Welcome aboard TobacNo, great to have you along. All above have given great tips, just remember to come here often and also to do the daily NOPE pledge -- it truly helps. Also lots of cold water and deep breathing techniques.
  5. Welcome aboard Nik. Everyone seems to have given you all the good advice. NOPE is really important, I also like lots of cold water and deep breathing techniques. You can do this!!
  6. Welcome aboard Matt, everybody pretty much covers what you need to do. Take Bakon's advice it really covers most of it, and remember deep breathing techniques -- really helps!!

Congrats on the 6 years Cristobal, you have offered much help -- some that I found greatly helpful.
  13. You made it through, congrats. During the third week you will experience triggers that seem to come out of no where. This can be frustrating since it is hard to pinpoint the strength behind the craves. I went through them -- I just remembered that first week and did not want to go through again and gotten to the three week point so I plowed through it. It was easier than the first week but still frustrating. The positive out of it was that I realized that I could conquer the craves at this point and I could see the positives to quitting. You are doing the right thing by coming here and posting, it shows your resolve. Well Done!!!!
  14. Garry -- just a huge accomplishment on the 2 years -- great job!!
  15. Christa, awesome job on the 1st month -- it only keeps getting better at this point. Remember to take time and celebrate!!
  16. I am 8 months also and agree with what Sslip states. At this point I am somewhat comfortable with my quit but not totally confident. I feel I have much to learn still with 44 years of smoking behind me so I know there are still hidden triggers that I have to on guard for. I waiting to get through the next month or so (big time of smoking "enjoyment" from this time of year, end of summer beginning of fall). I fully expect to make the turning point -- but taking it one day at a time and realizing how far I have come!!
