  1. Action bought the pimp suit. Sgt was taking trips Babs got something I cant rmember Tracey and Jen did shoes I think Ava was music or books at beginning, fuzzy there. I started with little items I normally passed on, desert or book. Small tool. Moved up to bigger tool box, or bike parts...
  2. I have some air tools but rarely use them. Most motorcycle stuff I do by hand as to not strip or break anything. Most bolts or nuts are 5/8 or smaller. Even on truck I use hand tools except for wheel lugs. Got to t love that zip sound on air gun.
  3. I like to tell newbies to reward themselves for the work they put into a quit. Did a thread of starting now back when I quit, after one hour I bought a sandwich where I don't normally eat. Day two of my quit I bought two magazines because I could not decide which one. Mrs says "you quit smoking, buy both, you deserve it" So I think most people don't have someone realize how hard those days are at beginning unless they were a smoker once. And who is going to buy you an ice cream on day three at lunch? You. After a while the rewards get bigger, shoes at a week. English translation book for islanders. Whatever. But how big have you gone and what point? Vacations. Pimp suit? What did you reward yourself with and when? I did invest about 1000 bucks in go fast parts for my Harley at six months but probably was going to do it anyways. Thought I wanted new truck and always said if i quit for a year I would. Didn't want to smoke in new truck but at year plus, still haven't done it. Still like the current 12 year old F350 crew cab with a honking 6.8 liter v10 motor because it is a monster and scares the idiots away in most situations. But I think at two years I might do it.
  4. Good job. What reward you got planned?
  5. Awesome
  6. I got you didn't read.....
  7. Father's Day fat reserves building. Two donuts so far, beer and brats later.
  8. I never read it, just quit by saying NOPE. I like what would Evel Knievel Do when out riding.
  9. George and Nancy always did well but I cant figure this stuff out. Happy unicorns farting rainbows with congratulations written in sparkly letters. I try to post a picture and I get its over 12kb and don't fit. I keep shrinking my photo till I got a copy at 12kb and its so small its not worth posting. Someone post a simple instruction on how to take a normal 123kb photo and place it here. Or how to be a fancy pants on the congrats stuff. Or how to link a u-tube video.
  10. nice to see you
  11. I have a pokey here at work and do like the hokey pokey dance too. no facial hair. grew a mushtashe when in the Army. 18 years old, maybe 7 hairs on each side. 1st Sgt walking an inspection stops at me and starts looking me up and down, says to me "whats that?" (they were allowed but had a regulation on size and trimming) I say in my strongest voice "My mustache" He laughes and walks off...leaves...quits the inspection and laughes his way to the front of formation. Not a military walk off to the front like he is done, more of a stroll off like its the funniest thing he ever heard. I was treated like a hero by everyone later. Free beers and everything cause I got him to laugh and nobody got in trouble or failed the inspection.... So my mustache ability is very low. If I was a body builder I wouldn't need to shave anything but legs (Do that for kinky fun). Smooth everywhere. Guys at work told me I needed a bra other day. Told them it was called a chest and if they worked harder and longer at gym they will grow one too.

  14. I feel like I am back in the 60's or 70's. What crystal gets you laid.....diamonds of course.
  15. Nothing today. Working on fat reserves.
  16. Coping is great until it removed responsibility for the action. Little rewards or redirection tactics. But when they aren't there the action needs to be acceptable still. Kids just need a smack on ass occasionally too. "Cope with that you...." Same with adults. Too much feel good hugs and unicorns with rainbows makes us soft and ..... Dare I say not responsible. It's not our fault, I ran out of gum, my job sucks, wife is a ...., car broke down. Like a real life country song. Like the idea as long as the end result is we control situation when reward is not present

  21. Not an axe murderer but I did marry a bitch and a one slut. And that's the nice things I say about them. Current Mrs is nice though. Andrew only list three things when 12 were asked for on how not to smoke. He won by having a wife, mistress and a girlfriend.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
